Any thoughts?
I'm watching Blow right now. Never seen it before.
I've always liked him in movies. I like his films, I like him, his persona, what we get to see of him anyway. He's easy on the eyes and ears.

I still like him despite his schtick these days. Black Mask proves he's still a great actor when it calls for it.

I standing joke with me and my friends is that I don't like Johnny Depp. The truth is I envy him because he's richer than I am, better looking, and has babes hanging off him, which I don't. In fact, I like his acting and like a number of the roles he's played and the movies he's made, namely The Ninth Gate, From Hell, and Secret Window.

I really, really enjoyed Ninth Gate. Especially uncut. That took some strange turns. Secret Window -- took me a bit to figure that one out. I thought it was well done. I have yet to see him in anything where I don't like the way he's chosen to portray a certain character. He's incredibly sexy, I like how relaxed and laid back he always seems to be. Admittedly I think I get hung-up on seeing him as Captain Jack. That role was cut from the cloth of Depp, and it couldn't have been more perfect.
I find him incredibly watchable. I like that he's been able to embody such a variety of characters and styles that are so vastly different. He isn't really typecast, and I like that.

A major aspect of Depp's appeal is that the camera loves him.

Yes, yes and more yes. He is a beautiful man that just gets better looking the more he ages.

I really, really enjoyed Ninth Gate. Especially uncut. Ha, I only just watched that again last night. Such a weird little movie. I like Depp as an actor. He seems to be a very weird guy in real life, though. Allegedly, he once spent three million dollars having a cannon made so he could fire the ashes of Hunter S Thompson out of it.

As I understand it, Depp formed a friendship with him while researching for his role in Fear & Loathing, and they became close. I saw an interview, Actors Studio I think, where he did this as HST requested this. What an amazing friendship that must have been!!

He's talented, can't deny that. Easy on the eyes. And as far as I can tell, has remained fairly humble.
One of my all-time favourites.

I've liked him since Edward Scissorhands. Saw it in a theater. Made my husband cry
