Then that same person automatically loses all of his/her credibility and I stop taking them seriously.
It's so annoying whenever some people, specially some religious Republicans/Conservatives, start saying things such as:
- God gave us...
- When I hear God...
- I don't agree with you because God...
And etc...
Are these people still stuck in the Prehistoric Age?
It's like if I was talking to a Neanderthal in 2018.

Everyone loves me.
So that's beside the point.

I agree with Harry. It's a massive issue for SOME OF THE RIGHT especially when debating abortion.
Whenever someone brings god into the discussion on policy, just take the L.

Didja know the majority of scientists admit to a belief in a God/Higher Power?

Well to be honest regarding abortion most Republicans in here don't usually bring on God to the table, exception made to 2 or 3 users.

Didja know the majority of scientists admit to a belief in a God/Higher Power? That's not what I'm saying.
However, I don't believe that at all.

That's one of the advantages of the Democratic Party - they don't use religion as a wedge issue to hold together their unholy coalition of plutocrats and evangelicals.

When it has been brought up before, the number was well above 50% of scientists professing some Belief.
It was more recent than 2009, too

It was more recent than 2009, too I SHALL LOOK! (Better not be Ramussen!) Im finding 80 percent OF REGULAR Americans believe in god, no luck with scientist. Let me keep looking! Ok sadly, I can only find this, on 3/27/18 crossexamined.org/dont-brilliant-scientists-like-stephen-hawking-believe-god/

Weird, huh?
When I heard the number, I was sorta shocked myself. I would have guessed less than 25% of believers amoing the scientific community myself. So it really stood out to me as a surprisingly high figure.
There are one or two regulars here, who are very educated and come off as our resident scientific minds......and they've openly admitted to believing in 'something more'. Does that count?

Every poll I ever saw was like....30-35 ish believe in it, in the teens who believe in a higher power, 40ish who dont believe, and some who just won't answer. I sadly can't find a poll where majority believe, I believe you. IDK why youd lie about something this dumb, and I admit, it surprises me.

Exactly. Like I'd give a shyte either way?
It could have just as easily been an unreliable source/article on the web.

i don't understand why some think that a belief in God automatically makes that person dumb, mentally ill or just plain not worth talking to. I can see if said person was being obnoxious, that's different. But to automatically disregard someone because they believe in a higher power is unreasonable.

Maybe I'm misreading here, but it appears that a majority of scientists believe in God/higher power according to the graph.

This is weird as this one says 'pew' as well............
Scientists and Belief | Pew Research Center www.pewforum.org/2009/11/05/scientists-and-beliefAug 06, 2013 · According to the poll, just over half of scientists (51%) believe in some form of deity or higher power; specifically, 33% of scientists say they believe in God, while 18% believe in a universal spirit or higher power.
And you gotta figure that those who refuse to answer are leaning towards a 'Yes' rather than a 'No', right? Otherwise why refuse to answer?
