Maya: Thanks for posting this link. Amazing photos. My father was a professional photographer from the 1930's through the 1960's. Typically, he took B&W photos and if the customer wanted color, the photo would be sepia toned and oil paint applied very carefully based on the customers specs. I took up photography as a hobby when I was drafted during the Vietnam war. Since then, I have taken thousands of photos, most of which are random unposed shots of people and places. About half of my output is in B&W.
