Rough Sketch finished... I'm not liking my camera on my new phone. the paper isn't tan... but if I color correct the pic it makes it look washed out. That was the easy part now I have to break out the soft lead primsacolor pencils. Don't get weirded out by their features. I like to draw where black is going to be so it kinda makes them looked fucked up charzhino, I'll start color tomorrow.

I don't know if any one will read this, but treating this thread as a journal to go along with the drawings. (I had to do the same thing when rehabbing. After each session I had to write at least one paragraph. Figure I will continue seemed to help then.
Switching up grip works for a while, but eventually the index and middle finger gets completely numb. With them completely numb it effects the grip with ring/pinkie thumb setup. It takes about 1hr and some change to become so numb the hand is almost useless. I can still move the fingers but not with precision. I told this to my brother about this exercise/project. He said "What you should do is push the drawing session as far as you can till it's super numb then give yourself "The Stranger" " I spilled my drink laughing.

Phone camera? Prismacolor? What I'm hearing is that you don't have a scanner and/or don't work digitally with Photoshop or Manga Studio, etc?

I do have a scanner, but no I don't use it for this. For one the size of the drawing is 12"x15" . I'm just taking pics to share. and when I'm done I will pop them all to gether kinda like a time lapse video. Primsacolor is a name brand of very nice color pencils. I love them. They are softer "lead" than other pencils. The blend well and have great coverage. The only thing I do with photoshop is to help me mock up what I want to do. Then i will go use it to draw from on paper.

The blending and brilliance is beyond anything a pencil can give you. They're priceier, but there's no substitute.
But for coloring I prefer to scan my artwork into Photoshop, Manga Studio, or Krita, and do digital coloring. The effects are far more brilliant, and they look great on a monitor and off the internet. And all mistakes can be undone, and you can do all your "stages" right there.
Get yourself an 11X17 or 12x18 scanner. You'll appreciate the investment. And if you can, get yourself a digitizer screen with pen. There's nothing like drawing/coloring right on your screen/monitor in real time.

So to fight the palsy in the Median Nerve that's causing the problem, my Doc tried something I thought was a bit nuts but tried. I had Botox (yup the old people trying to look less like a scrotum stuff that's botulism toxin derivative) injected into the nerve. If you want to see what the injection sites looked after about a week. Here you go. Doc said I could restart drawing when I felt up to it

She gave me don't care drugs for the procedure so I wouldn't move. I barely remember the appointment. It was sore and tingly. Now just kind of tingly with no shaking when concentrating. I can't explain it completely. It's like the middle of the road. I don't have full sensation, but I also don't go numb. I don't have shakes, but it's not 100% calm either. It's supposed to last 3-6 months so it's something to get used too. There is a tiredness that goes along. Like the day you go back to work after having the flu is the best description I can give. That's gotten better. My Doc told me to take the training wheels off of my action with the hand as soon as I felt able. That I couldn't injury myself or anything just know your body and do what you can.

6hr 45m Need to get another blending pen. And make some of the black lines more clean. It's hard to do thin black lines with my hand the way it is.
