I know there could be a completely logical explanation for this, but in the moment it was so strange and sudden. It came out of nowhere. I was sitting on the edge of my bed putting my shoes on when I turned and saw this black mass moving along my bed and then disappeared. At first, I looked around my room to see if a bug had gotten into my room, thinking it was its shadow reflected on my bed, but there was nothing to account for this random black mass that just appeared and disappeared. Has anyone got any theories on what this could have been?

There's a paranormal phenomenon known as 'shadow people'. Shadow people might be ghosts or they might be interdimensional beings or they might even be aliens, no one knows for sure. Of course, I'm not sure they even exist but a lot of people have reported seeing these things.

Has anyone got any theories on what this could have been? How big the mass, how close to the ground? Did you see it "out the corner of your eye" or did you see it straight? How fast would you say it was moving? How long did you see it for? Was it day or night? Was it dark in the room? Was it cold or warm in the room? Did you notice any sound or smell? How did you feel during and after the observation? (any sort of 'lingering' sensation/feeling?) IF you did see 'something' and you didn't just 'imagine' it somehow, all those and such questions are relevant.

It was right on top of the bed. It moved pretty casually, not fast, nor slow. I looked straight at it, it disappeared after a couple of seconds. It was night, my room was bright. It was unusually quiet. I felt quite calm during and after. I was more so intrigued by what I saw.

Some people say those 'things' are things of nature which are usually not easily seen. Unless you 'thought' you saw what you describe and it wasn't real, maybe it was one of those 'things' after all. I'd be watchful or alert if I were you.

I remember staying the night at my cousin's house when I was around 7 or 8 years old. We were all sitting in the living room watching tv and I heard my aunt whisper to my uncle, "there's is that shadow again." I noticed they were looking into the next room. I looked over and there was a person's shadow walking across the room.
I told my mom about it to see if she knew anything about it because she grew up in the house. It was my grandpa and grandma's house and my aunt got it when they passed. My mom told me that a guy hung himself in an upstairs bedroom back in the early 1900's. It was the same room that my cousin lived in. I remember that room was always freezing cold. I also recall always having a feeling that I was being watched when I was in the house.

You should definitely go and see an eye doctor as soon as possible. My grandmother saw things like that just before her vitreous detached (had to use google translate, not shure if it is the correct term), then she went blind until the surgery.

Has anyone got any theories on what this could have been? The surface of your eyeball is actually an ocean of saline filled with microscopic debris. Sometimes one of those pieces of debris is closer or further away from your iris and seems like a dark object crossing your vision. The truth is that we/you will never really know. There's not enough information.

Well, this thread is almost four years old so the OP is almost certainly dead, but the correct answer was indeed Shadow People.

Has anyone got any theories on what this could have been? Moslems believe in jinn. They are said to live alongside us, and though they usually can't be seen, at times it's said you catch a glimpse of them as a black shadow. Muslims believe that if you step on them or enter into 'their space', they can cause you harm.
