That's both reasonable and sensible right?

That's both reasonable and sensible right? No. Next question. Hopefully it will be something equally esoteric, like: Who put the bomp in the bomp ba-bomp ba-bomp?

Classic argument from ignorance. and sometimes presented as a fact rather than an opinion. It's probable that when Opie started this thread he was wanting a reply of three or four paragraphs of hairsplitting detail. Seems like there is an RFS regular who specializes in that, but he was not online at the time.

In my case it’s usually because I forgot to turn on the subtitles.

That's both reasonable and sensible right? Only if it says so in some popular holy book.

That's both reasonable and sensible right? Hey, it's why Bill O'Reilly believes in god. And for him it's just stuff he doesn't understand but plenty of other people do.

Usually it's the Devil, or the demons.
Which is why humans are incapable of understanding much, even with a few centuries of the scientific process, which has been totally abandoned by today's self righteous materialist scientists.
Nothing is more dangerous than humans who think they understand something that they don't. There are many sheep who think they can reason or deduce anything. No wonder they worship a movie where a guy thinks he can find his daughter's kidnappers by a voice on a phone, not even using scientific equipment to identify the voice.
Living in a world where half the people think they're Sherlock Holmes, or they believe some rich guy is Sherlock Holmes. We can blame Doyle for this, I guess, though I don't know if he knew he'd make this kind of a Hell on Earth.

Sorry, but if I don't understand something I take it that it's because I haven't sufficiently exercised my intellect towards that understanding. Can't see where 'god' has anything to do with it, one way or the other.

Many people who do not understand something nevertheless find time to speculate about a solution. You may speculate as well. It does not matter what you call your speculation since it isn't any different than anyone else.

Actually I started this as in response to a particularly asinine comment a believer had made in a thread - but I can't remember what it was now - and I just wanted to get it off my chest. But it appears that your associates (such as drystyx) are happy to prove me right on this very thread...

dorothy and the eboliated democracy
long before the skies turned green. the well-worn emerald streets went mean. dorothy sensed the second coming of a congregate obscene. where once pictograms of ponies longed to paint a scene. reminiscent of those fairy tales where her mother had made her queen. when all she truly wanted was a place well kept and lean. as the wizard set the skies on fire as if he were mr. clean dorothy wailed at toto: we must fly to save our dreams!
sjw 11/20/18 inspired at this very moment in time by the portal and the pitch as the houses begin to twitch.

A trip to Room 101 will straighten him out.

You want to be seen as smart, but you come across the opposite by your very inability to communicate a single idea, because you're just babbling incoherently. Now, if I was to believe your inability to communicate should be laid upon those reading your babbling, I'd also make the mistake of pretending to be Sherlock Holmes, when in fact, there's no way to understand anything you are talking about. Thus, you have proven my point. Since there's no way to interpret your babbling, there's no way to prove your point, nor disprove it.

That's both reasonable and sensible right? Whenever something can't be explained, they go right for the "we understand the natural world SO thoroughly that we are absolutely certain IT could not have produced thus and so or resulted in this or that." But they happily invoke the supernatural/divine even though they know nothing about it. In fact, it's the very fact that they can't see, hear, touch, sense, measure or apprehend this supposed supernatural world that it somehow and easily becomes the go-to answer for every conundrum, enigma and unexplained event.

Drystyx, maybe something inexplicable will happen to him someday, and no one will believe him. Maybe he'll be abducted by the Grays.
