Faith is trust without proof. What someone has faith in varies depending on what they trust to be truth.
If you cannot have rationale behind whatever you are believing in then it can't be serving you well at all. It is all just a delusion otherwise.
You would have to define what the truth is otherwise.
I have no clue how you'd know what does or doesn't serve me well. What I feel serves me well may be something you don't feel would serve you well (and vice versa) and we all can make our own choices.

Only when I'm talking to a retard. So, yeah... You'll see it a lot.

Okay... Now, this is a sentiment that I disagree with. Faith has to/should be based on something other than just blind wishful thinking or a feeling/hunch.See... I can believe you're a retard... but, that'd be just a gut feeling. I have faith that you are... because I can read your posting history. See the difference?

The stuff I'm making up, as you claim, is nothing at all compared to the bible. Take a look at all the wars, genocide, oppression and other historic events that were and are horrible and miserable because of this book of made up stories to justify that misery and suffering at the hands of the powerful. Yeah... but... That's like getting mad at The Beatles' White Album for the actions of Marylyn Manson. Once again.... because you're choosing not to. The story clearly has her being told of the events beforehand.. and her giving her permission. Others are fucking idiots.
Maybe we could... but, unfortunately... that's not how the story goes. Does it really seem that ludicrous and/or that upsetting to you that God would pick a virtuous and loyal girl?? Doesn't it seem someone like that would be the most likely of candidate? You're arguing about/questioning the actual details of a story that you don't believe actually happened? Do you know how fucking insane that is? That's like arguing/being upset about the actions of Harry Potter because you think that the concept of magic is ludicrous.
- "But nobody actually thinks that Harry Potter is real!"
- "Yeah... but, that's actually irrelevant to the point of your contention."
You are wrong about all the above.

The men who wrote the Bible claimed Mary submitted obediently when she became the Mother of God. That does not mean she was not raped. She was raped because she could not possibly have consented. The Biblical narrative makes it clear Mary was afraid. She had no idea what the consequences would be for refusing her assigned role as Mother of God. Consent to impregnation presumes a relationship of equals which cannot possibly be presumed between a young teen girl and an omnipotent Father God. There was an enormous difference in power. The youngest age of consent in the United States is 16, and an eternal Father God would not pass for an age-gap exception to United States statutory rape laws. In the Biblical narrative, Mary was coerced into submission and obedience by the Angel Gabriel. Christians generally, and conservative Catholics and Evangelicals in particular, have strong traditions of heaping shovelfuls of spirituality, romance, idealism, and cultural relativism onto young Mary in order to insist that she “consented” when she said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” They argue vigorously that she was special and uniquely capable of consent. It simply isn’t true. A child cannot consent to pregnancy by an authority figure. Fearfully submitting to exploitation as a servant is not consent. It’s not “free will.” Christians have a long tradition of lauding Mary’s submission, failing to recognize her reproductive exploitation as abuse. medium.com/@artscisarah/jesus-was-a-rape-baby-98e652f2d8f8

According to the bible, she was a virgin even after the wedding night to Joe. Right? From what you are suggesting, could it be that Joe felt like she was too young for sex and pregnancy at that point? Or any idea why she might have been a virgin or did the story tellers decide to make her one just to have her be more pure to them?
According to the apocryphal writings, Joseph was 90 years old when he married Mary. If so, I'd say it's more likely he was.... unable to perform.
There where other texts as well suggesting that the real father was a Roman soldier by the name of Tiberius Pantera and that he was paying the "virgin" to service her. Yes the "virgin" Mary was a prostitute. Needless to say, that work did not become a part of the Bible. The work is by a Greek philosopher named Celsus, has long been lost, however. The only reason we even know about it is because another writer, Origen discusses it in his work, Contra Celsum.
-Apocryphal- “of a story or statement) of doubtful authenticity, although widely circulated as being true.” I don’t know any Christian who believes Mary was 13 and Jospeh 90 at the time of their marriage.

If "medium.com" says that "Jesus was a rape baby"... Then it has to be true. I love these pretentious assholes who demand that they understand the emotional tribulations not cited in a story that they consider to be fictional. - "IT'S MY BELIEF THAT GABRIEL SECRETLY HAD A KNIFE TO MARY'S THROAT AND FORCED HER TO CONSENT!" - "Sooooo... Mary was threatened by an angel of God?.. and was really scared for her life in reality?" - "' IN REALITY??!!' MARY ONLY EXISTS ENOUGH FOR ME TO DEMAND THE SHE FEELS THE EMOTIONS THAT I SAY SHE FEELS!!"

I love how they rewrite this one in their heads: In a white van, Angel approaches Mary playing on the park
- " Psst!... Hey, little girl.. God says He'll give you a candy bar if you let Him put a baby in you."
2) "A servant" - You know that Mary doesn't really work for God, right? He doesn't sign her paycheck. She is a servant in the sense that she chooses to be a servant. 3) Speaking of 'choosing' - Who the hell are you to decide what a woman chooses to do with her own body, ya fucking douche-bag hypocrites? Going back in time: If you were a fan of Star Trek and Gene Rodenberry came up to you and asked if you would like a role in Star Trek: TNG... Nobody would think that you were fearful to say "No" because you were overwhelmed by Mr. Rodenberry's authority... even if you thought he was a god. You'd have every right to say "Yes".... and not have it questioned... years later by people who don't actually know you. In the story, Mary has every right to say "Yes"... and fuck you if you think you can take that away from her just because you don't like the book that it's in.

I don't see where it makes any difference whether she's 2026 years old now, 2032 years old now, 2038 years old now, or 2048 years old. She's over two thousand years old. It's pretty rude to make her tell her real age considering, don't you think? She has been freakin' dead for over two thousand years, how would it be rude? How do you know? You'll feel funny when the day comes that you stand before Jesus, and he says "What you say about my mama! Don't talk about my mama!" Yeah, you'll soil your pants and cry. We know. I'll try not to laugh at you like everyone else will.

Well as Mary was 13 at the time, it was at least statutory rape. God is a pedophile.
You state with certainty that Mary was 13 and therefore God was a pedophile (a preposterous notion in itself), but I'll bet you are one of those who act outraged when anyone accuses Mohammed of having been a pedophile for marrying a six-year old girl and consummating the marriage when she was nine.

Even your insults are retarded. Retarded is your favourite word. You use this a lot. All you are doing is saying so much more about yourself, than anyone else.
Now, if you can't have a decent mature discussion to a relevant and pertinent question I asked, and you have even recently disputed kls and her point, then what exactly is your stance?
lol at a decent mature conversation in yet another Mary was raped thread. It would at least be a change of pace to have a thread about how Mary was retarded.

Of course she wasn't raped by God. She had sex before marriage with someone else. Getting impregnated by God was just the excuse she gave to Joseph for getting pregnant.
