I do like it but I think the next 9 are funnier/better.
One of my favorite "forever" movies. Enjoyed it then and enjoy it even more now... in whole or just catching clips. If it's on, I will stop to watch it and will choose it when I want a funny mood lifting film.

It’s fantastic. Beautifully done in every respect–not only in the writing, as usual, but one of Wilder’s best-directed. As for the AFI list Aussie mentioned above, I find it funnier than anything else on that list except, possibly, Duck Soup and It Happened One Night–but, then, humor is so subjective.

Also: Marilyn invests her role with more character than the picture (or her persona) perhaps calls for, and Jack and Joe E. Brown are a hilarious couple! Tony, interestingly (but fittingly) enough, is best as his hero, Cary Grant, than as either Joe or Josephine.
I’ve written before that some people (myself included) forget how much fun Citizen Kane is, because it’s so heralded as a “great film” that we are looking at the filmmaking, but even without trying to analyze it, it’s so entertaining. With Some Like It Hot, it seems the reverse: it’s so much fun that we may sometimes forget that it’s a splendidly made film. It’s just great in every respect. One of my definite favorites.

Someone recently described their reaction to Marilyn Monroe as being "meh". I can only conclude that they have not seen her in Some Like It Hot !
Personally, I find it one of her best (among many outstanding) performances.

I must have horrible taste in comedies. I've never seen Some Like it Hot as I'm not a big fan of Monroe (although I do like Curtis). I dislike Woody Allen's type of comedy so Annie Hall is a loser for me. I do like Tootsie, Airplane!, Dr. Strangelove and It Happened One Night. The rest are just "meh" for me.
it's quite funny though not one of my favourite films, I don't care much for Marilyn Monroe. But Tony Curtis pretending to be Cary Grant is very amusing, and the ending is very funny.
It's among many comedy favorites of mine, but probably not in the top 10. For me, it begins to diminish from the time of the "Mob," gathering for the banquet. At that point, it takes on a "silly" chase-scene bent, that has never appealed to me.
I think that the funniest lines, and scenes, are between (Joe/Jerry ... Josephine/Daphne), as they try to figure out what the hell to do, in their bizarre situations.
