If BvS and SS were so widely loved by the audiences, why is WB doing their best to do damage control? Reformatting the tone of their movies to make it more similar to MCU movies instead of BvS and SS? Who said they were doing damage control? They did a sequel to BvS, which was Justice League (and you never know, there may be a Snyder Cut some day), and there will be a sequel to Suicide Squad. There are even spinoffs to both films in Wonder Woman, Wonder Woman '84, Aquaman, and Birds of Prey. None of this would have happened if those two films were not successful. We would be back to watching Superman and Batman solo films again if they had been.

"Damage control" in enlightened circles (people who understand terms) means remediation measure when you incured actual damages. Both movies were very profitable, Suicide Squad even overperformed (finanially, not talking about the Oscar).
DC "damage controlled" BvS and SS as much as MCU did when they rebooted the mediocre Thor-films into Fragglerock (a la Guardians), or when instead of Cap3 they did Avengers2.5 "Tony's mommy issues" bc of BvS.
Thus, it's not damage control like when your ship is sinking, it's changing the course on the quest for even more money. Wish you guys were able to do the basic thinking yourself for once, it would help you with the wording. Btw bad wording can (and should) cost you your job (ask James Gunn about it).

I see the facts, which is more than what some of you do.

I’m in the middle for both. They’re still the weakest of the franchise, but I wouldn’t say they’re all around terrible.
