Todd McFarlane's Spawn 2 (1998) - DVD Seems like it was sold or tried to be marketed as a straight to video sequel to the 1997 live action movie, however it looks like it is actually more of a collection of episodes from the TV-show all tied up into 144 minutes of runtime. Never saw the TV-series, so hopefully I am in for something good.
Demolition Man (1993) - DVD I do think this movie is closing in or has recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. A real fun and solid sci-fi/action movie and one I wished Sly would have done a sequel to during the 90s, instead of Judge Dredd or a few of his other forgettable and very uneven mid 90s action-thrillers. Anyway, already own a copy of it from before, but two is better than one when it comes to movies like this.
Face/Off (1997) - DVD Great late 90s action classic, when Nicolas Cage and John Travolta were both at the top of their game as the hippest and coolest action stars, sadly it did not last for very long but what a riot it was to see this explosive action movie for the first time. Again, a film I already own from before but always good to have a back up, just in case.
Mig äger ingen (2013) - DVD Swedish drama starring the always reliable Mikael Persbrandt.
Prophecy II (1998) - DVD I remember picking up part 2 and 3 a few years ago, saw them then threw them away. Did not remember much, but since I liked the first one and have always been a fan of Christopher Walken, I thought I might give the second one another chance.
Alone in Berlin (2015) - DVD War drama starring Brendan Gleeson and Emma Thompson.
Ran (2005) - DVD Norwegian crime drama made into a mini-series.
Børning 1 and 2 (2014-16) - DVD Norway's "answer" to the popular Cannonball Run movies from the 80s, with a bunch of "stars" who ends up racing against each other. Only seen the first one, so I got this cheap copy for the second film.
The Negotiator (1998) - DVD I saw this back in late autumn of 2017 and was very impressed. A solid action/thriller with some great performances by Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey. The reason to why I bought it a second time around is that my older copy is a region 4 (works on my DVD and Blu-ray players as they are region free) and I want to watch it with my dad who do not own a region free player, and the one I got today is a region 2.
Paradiset (2003) - DVD Swedish crime movie which I think is actually a prequel to the 2001 movie Sprengaren which is made by the same director and also includes most of the same actors as welll.
Wreck-It Ralph (2012) - DVD Owned it back in summer of 2013, saw it once did not love it but thought it was okay. Decided to give it another go.
Aerosmith - Pump (1989) - CD Not exactly too known of their 80s and early 90s releases, it was either Pump, Permanent Vacation (1987) or Get a Grip (1993) and I decided to go with the first one as it came with The Other Side, which I think was featured in True Romance (1993).
Max Payne (2001) - PS2 I used to own a copy of it back in winter of 2007, but I got stuck at some level, ended up going completly into berserk mode and thrashed the game into a billion pieces and never played it again. Hopefully I might be a bit calmer and more patient this time around, as I really loved the sequel.

Recent one from the mail:
Amityville II: The Possession (1982) - DVD
The condition of the DVD itself wasn't very good when it came but I'm still glad I own this one. I have the first and third on DVD already so I wanted to complete the trilogy. This is my favourite of the series (so far; haven't seen the 05 remake or any of the other sequels, not saying they'll be any better than this one).

"When the Bough breaks" Fairly decent for a "Fatal attraction"/ "The hand that rocks the cradle" mashup. Not high art. Guilty pleasure.
"Blood Money" At times it feels like a TV movie. But John Cusack turns in a stellar performance searching for his stolen $. Willa Fitzgerald shines. I thought she was awful on MTV's "Scream". But she surprised me.

Star Wars Trilogy: Special "Gold" Edition (1997) - VHS I did not know this was a VHS set, until I opened it and while the box set looked pretty damn awesome, whats inside was even cooler looking as each of the original classics came with some stunning artwork which completely blow away most of my far more dull and random looking DVD releases of the same titles. Considering this was put out in 1997 I hope it means no Hayden Christensen in sight and that the VHS itself plays out okay, but even if not I still will be a proud owner of this very neat movie box-set. Just for the fun of it, I searched it up online and it seemed like another edition also came out in 97 but was in Silver and Widescreen. Not sure if there were any other stuff that was any different from the Gold edition.
Hypnotisören (2012) - DVD Swedish thriller where Mikael Persbrandt stars along with Lena Olin.
Doubt (2008) - DVD Drama thriller with Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Brotherhood of Evil (2006) - DVD Horror-thriller starring Edward Furlong and Michael Madsen.
The Heat (2013) - DVD Only picked it up because I saw half of the movie some time ago, and thought I might just finish it off as it came for such a cheap price. I know I will probably not enjoy the rest of it, but I do not like to not be able of finish off what I start, no matter how bad it might get.
The Amazing Spiderman 2 (2014) - DVD Still not seen the first one (remake) but decided to just go with the second one as well.
In Bruges (2008) - DVD Not a big fan of Colin Farrell, but it got Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes in the other leading parts, so hopefully it might turn out to be a good one.
Gotham - Season 2 (2015) - DVD Almost halfway through season 1 and while a long way of what I would consider a great TV show, it do have some pretty good entertainment value but probably not something I will ever come back to, once I have finished it.
Björk - Post (1995) - CD Never owned an album of hers but today I found one which I ended up getting on sheer impulse as it was so cheap and contained one of the few songs I know of her, which is Oh, So Quiet.
XTC - Skylarking - Corrected Polarity Edition (2010) - CD This beautiful 80s pop-rock masterpiece was just lying around in the bargage bin can along with a lot of terrible albums, so I thought it might be some mistake, but it turned out it was not. Already own 2 copies of it from before (the 1999 or 2000 remaster and the exact same copy as the one I got today) but such a stunning piece of work I think I can manage to find more than enough room for as it surely is one of the finest musical achievements from the 1980s. It says 2010 on the CD copy but I remember that I had to wait until (I think) summer of 2012 or 13 to pick it up on CD, while the LP version was out first by Andy Partridges own record label, Ape House Ltd. back in 2010.

The Snowman (2017) - Blu-ray Only heard negative things about this much hyped up "norwegian" thriller, so I do not expect anything, really but of course it would be nice if I am mistaken for once in a very long while.
Assassination Games (2011) - DVD Its been a while since the last time I watched one of Van Dammes newer DTV movies, and this one I have never even heard of, until today that is. The film also do include Scott Adkins.
Baby Driver (2017) - DVD Looks like it could be a pretty good film.
Star Wars Trilogy (2008) - DVD Finally! Or, well I sure hope it is the right one as I am now the owner of not one but four or five Star Wars DVD (plus one VHS) collections of the first three classics. However, I have never found the threatrical (unaltered) versions before on DVD, so I really do hope it is the real deal as this region 2 2008 DVD set comes with all three original films both the ones which was released and contains lots of changes back in 2004 and a bonus disc which claims to be the original theatrical version of each film.
Defiance (2011) - DVD War thriller starring Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber.
Masterminds (2015) - Blu-ray Heist comedy, starring Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson, Kristen Wiig and Jason Sudeikis.
The Bourne Identity (1988) - DVD I guess with a runtime of over 3 hours, this is more a TV-mini series or made for TV movie rather than a theatrical film.
Superman Returns (2006) - DVD Never seen this one before, even though my dad own a copy of it.
Con Air (1997) - DVD Already own a copy, but that one is not in the greatest shape, so I decided to pick up a back up copy.
Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) - DVD The first one was pretty mediocre and very forgettable. Not sure why I picked up part 2, but to my surprise they have even made a third one. I guess as long as the cash cow delivers, it will not stop any time soon.

They are significantly cleaned up from the originals and, thankfully, no Hayden in sight. Still, Greedo shoots first and there's the silly looking CGI Jabba in A New Hope.

The Long Kiss Goodnight (DVD)Not much recently; trying to cut back a bit and work on the backlog. I have been trying to say this to myself over and over, but every week it seems like I keep finding either new or interesting impulse purchases and now I really need to take a break because I have not much space left to store away any more movies or albums. A postive "problem" I guess but hopefully somewhere within that huge pile of DVDs and Blu-rays, I will find a few great keepers and it will be worth the while, or so I hope. The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996) is a really good action movie. A shame it seems to not get the same kind of recognition as Renny Harlin's other two winter themed action 90s classiscs with Die Hard 2: Die Harder (1990) and Cliffhanger (1993). Loved seeing Gena Davis teaming up with Samuel L. Jackson, however the only "weak" point I thought was maybe the main villain, who compared to Renny's titles mentioned above, felt kind of "forgettable" and did not pose that much of a threat. Wished Renny would have done a sequel to either this one or Cliffhanger but I guess that is far too late by now, as he seems to be preoccopied with b-movies mostly these days, which is kind of sad, as he delivered some truly great movies back in the day.

Well that didn't last very long. Ready Player One (2018) - DVDNot sure what to expect, but I guess it is a sci-fi/adventure themed movie and considering how cheap the movie was I ended up picking it up on impulse. Gotham: Season 3 (2016) - DVDHave almost finished season one by now, a few episodes left and it have surely picked up from a somewhat uneven first half, and while I am still not all that impressed by some of the performances in this show. However, I do have really grown fond of the strong bond and friendship between young Bruce Wayne and Alfred, which for me right now is mainly the one thing that keeps me going and is kind of like the "heartbeat" of the series, where as the main figures Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock is kind of "all over the place" at times, and also Oswald Cobblepot along with Fish Mooney have gone from exciting and colorful characters to fast becoming very overused and tiredsome, but all of a sudden people like Julian Sands or Jeffrey Combs arrives the scene and that is never a bad thing. I just hope we see much less of the incredible annoying and terrible character that is Barbara, she really slows thing down with her awful acting and "personality" whenever she appears on screen. Grease (1977) - DVDYeah, I know. Musical movies have rarely been my thing but since it was part of a 3 for the price of 1 movie deal, I just picked it up in a last "desperate" situation, to finish off and get the hell out of there. This happens all of the time, but I think it is a good movie, or of what little I have seen as it must been almost 20 years since the last time. Skiptrace (2016) - DVDSpeaking of Renny Harlin, I found this dirt cheap copy of a movie called Skiptrace or really Jue Di Tao Wang which stars Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville. I actually kind of hope it is a good one, as I always go in wanting to like the films of Chan, but somehow it rarely every matches with my ratings, and since it is a Harlin production, then just maybe it might work this time around. Death Race: Inferno (2013) - DVDAka Death Wish 3. I did not like the Jason Statham version all that much, too generic and looked more like a Fast and the Furious "spin-off" than any resemble to the original 1975 cult classic. However, I am not sure if I have ever seen part 3, so I will give it a chance just to see if I have missed out on something. Payback (1999) - DVDI used to own a copy of this Mel Gibson action-thriller once, but that was then and I ended up rating it a 6/10. Not sure why I did not like it more, but decided to re-buy it and hopefully it will do better a second time around as I really wanted to like it. Possession (2008) - DVDSarah Michelle Gellar horror movie, which I only got because of, well Sarah. Blade (1998) - DVDAlready own two copies of it, but this region 1 version has a much cooler and better looking artwork going and I hate when great films is given cheap and terrible looking artwork designs to go with, they just stick out in a very bad way in any movie collection. The Transporter (2002) - DVD While never been much of a fan of Statham, I thought Transporter 2 (2005) had some great action moments but maybe I should have began with part 1 first. The Astronaut's Wife (1999) - DVDJohnny Depp and Charlize Theron thriller. Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999) - DVDHorror/teen movie starring Helen Mirren, Katie Holmes and Barry Watson. Family Guy: Laugh It Up, Fuzzball: The Family Guy Trilogy (2010) - DVDOnly seen one of these three parodies/tributes to the original Star Wars franchise, and which I think was Blue Harvest (2007). Halloween 2 (2009) - DVDNever seen any of the Rob Zombie remakes, not sure if I ever really were much interested but for such a cheap price as it came with, I decided that at least I am gonna give one of them a chance. Hunt to Kill (2010) - DVDNever seen one of Steve Austin's movies (expect his involvement with the Expendables franchise or the poorly made Steven Seagal movie Maximum Conviction from 2012). The Ghost Writer (2010) - Blu-rayRoman Polanski thriller, starring Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) - Blu-rayNot sure if I have already purchased this one, or if it is just another one of the many Marvel Universe titles, but it will probably be just another watch once, then throw it away the next day kind of light hearted entertainment as usual. The Descent (2005) - DVDI saw part 2 last autumn, and ended up liking it. A neat little surprise of a horror movie, and hopefully part 1 is just as good. Public Enemies (2009) - DVDThis one has gone completely under my radar for years now, but I guess one of the reasons is that very few of the newer gangster/mobster movies have done much to impress me, as the latest one I saw were the generic and dull Gangster Squad which looked more like a 2 hour music video/tribute than a solid movie. Hopefully this one might be one of the better ones in recent times. The Final Countdown (1980) - DVDSci-fi/thriller starring Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen. Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D (2011) - DVDNot sure why I ever picked this one up, but what the hell it was cheap as hell and if it sucks, then to the garbage bin it will go the next day. Radio Days (1987) - DVDNever really been too impressed by any of the work that I have seen of Woody Allen, however to my "defense" most of them have been made during the late 90s and onwards and not what I guess would be described as any of his better work, so maybe I just need a little dig in towards more of his earlier stuff to see if it might change for the better. Divorcing Jack (1998) - DVDBritish crime-action movie, never seen but it comes with a good cast and a promising plot. Passengers (2016) - Blu-raySci-fi thriller starring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence. The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury (2004) - DVDAnimated version of the live action franchise starring Vin Diesel. Never became a fan of the live action movies, but maybe this animated one will do better. Chris Rock - Bigger and Blacker (1999) - DVDImpulse buy, as I think most of his stand up acts of what I have seen (not that much actually) have been far greater than his acting skills or choice of movies to star in. The Karate Kid (2010) - DVDNever seen but thought since it stars Jackie Chan, I might give it a go. Not a fan of Jayden Smith, so I guess it will be hard one to watch. The Singing Detective (2003) - DVDLoved watching the british 1986 mini-series starring Michael Gambon, this 2003 movie I have never seen but I guess judging only from the poor reviews, it will probably not live up to the original. RoboCop: Prime Directives (2001) - DVDThis 4 disc "movie" box set comes with four 95 minutes long episodes or TV-movies included: Dark Justice, Meltdown, Resurrection and Crash and Burn. Have seen a couple of them from before, but decided to pick this dirt cheap release up, just to finish off the ones I have yet to see. I think Page Fletcher (the guy who narrates the 80s canadian horror series The Hitchhiker has the main part as Officer Murphy aka Robocop).

Almost forgot that I had put in two new orders on two movies which have been lying around in my watchlist for many years now:
Terrorvision (1986) & The Video Dead (1987) - Blu-ray/DVD Combo (2013) This one I have been wanting to get a hold of since I caught the trailer of Terrorvision by "accident" back in late 2012, then only a few days later on Scream Factory put out the great news that it was gonna get a Blu-ray release, however I somehow never got around to pick up, until now that is. Would be nice if The Video Dead was a fun title as well, but I mostly decided to buy this because of Terrorvision. I am glad Scream Factory at least had the option of not just having the Code A bullcrap (not gonna buy a brand new Blu-ray player for just one or two movies) so thankfully they included region 1 DVD copies of both the films as well.
Serial Lover (1998) - DVD A french/english (I think) black comedy production of which I saw only once back in 2005 or 2006 on late night cable. Only remember a few scenes but it seemed like a promising one. Had a certain similarity as Delicatessen (1991) in some parts. I think the premise was that a woman having a bad midlife crisis have decided to bring along several of her former boyfriends, to hopefully manage of picking up where they left off with the right one, however everything goes way too wrong when they all begin dying all over the place in all kind of freakish accidents. This movie seems to be out of production, so the copy I got was a bit pricy, but I hope it will be worth it as I think it might have some potential.

UNO (2004) - DVD Norwegian drama.
Buddy (2003) - DVD Norwegian drama.
Even Money (2006) - DVD Never heard of before, but comes with a solid cast starring Kim Basinger, Ray Liotta, Danny DeVito, Tim Roth, Kelsey Grammer, Forest Whitaker and Cala Gugino.
Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang (2010) - DVD Pretty mediocre family/fantasy movies, this and the first one, however I just picked it up because I already got the original.
Chris Rock: Bigger & Blacker (1999) - DVD Yeah, I know. I already bought it two days ago, however that was a poor region 1 copy by HBO Studios with no subtitles and not a very impressive sound quality. This one however was a region 2 copy, with better sound and more importatly included subtitles.
Harlem Nights (1989) - DVD Not exactly lots of great movies available today, but I am glad I finally found a perfectly well used DVD copy of this Eddie Murphy/Richard Pryor title. Hopefully it is a good one, as I have never seen it before, but one of those that I have always wanted to.
