YES FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE SEES THE LIGHT - people are starting to wake up , found this at QUORA and couldn't have written it better myself what I been saying all along !!!!!
Will Jon be Daenerys 3rd Betrayal?
three treasons will you know… once for blood and once for gold and once for love…
There’s actually a lot of debate on whether the betrayals are committed by Dany or against Dany, but this is going off of the assumption that she is the one being betrayed. I say: yes.
Blood - Mirri Maz Dur betrays her with blood magic and sacrifices her unborn child, cursing her.
Gold - Jorah spying on her for King Robert in exchange for an end to his exile and his debt
Love -
In s7, Dany stated that the iron throne has been her will to live for so long. She was born to rule the seven kingdoms. Everyone has tried to kill her, and yet she’s the only one standing. Blah blah blah, the usual Targaryen posturing and arrogance. What’s worse is she actually believes it. Dany believes that she’s the best person for Westeros, she believes she was born to conquer and rule. All of this hinges on the belief that she is the last Targaryen. Except she’s not.
Jon Snow is something that Dany didn’t plan for. He doesn’t seem so taken with her during their first meeting. He’s super aloof and mysterious. He talks about nothing but ice zombies and dragon glass (total turn on) and refuses to bend the knee because he has his people’s best interest at heart. He is an honest, honorable man, and of course, Dany falls for him.
Jon cannot say the same.
It’s clear from jump street that he doesn’t like her that way. His focus at Dragonstone is the threat to the North and getting Dany to come fight with him. Yes, he is attracted to her, but as he said: “There’s no time for that.” But Dany isn’t budging on her stance when it comes to Northern Independence. She keeps him prisoner on a freaking island. She wants them to bend the knee, no exceptions.
But then she asks for his advice on what to do about the Lannisters. She tries to stop him from going beyond the wall and tells him “She’s quite fond of him.” She flies all the way beyond the wall to save him, sacrifices a dragon for him, waits for him. Yet save for his speeches about the Great War, Jon has said about forty five words to her. He hasn’t even given her anything, yet she’s so clearly willing to risk it all for him.
Jon takes advantage of that.
And by take advantage, I don’t mean court her and buy her heart shaped candies and tell her he loves her, I mean…he’s going to do what he’s been doing this whole time. Avoiding questions, and giving her what she wants. He’s playing her, yes, but not in a John Tucker type of way. He’s not gonna tell her he’d die for her…but he’s not NOT gonna tell her. Jon’s conversations in s7 with Dany consisted of lies by omission and a whole lot of ego soothing. Just as they will in s8. It certainly creates animosity between them in time for the parentage reveal if she finds out, but even this isn’t a betrayal on the scale of all the others on the list. It’s going to be something else; something more. Here are my theories:
Dance of Dragons 2.0 - Jon takes up arms with the North against Dany after the Great War. I think at this point, his parentage will have already been revealed. The North doesn’t plan on kneeling to another Southern ruler, along with the two other kingdoms they have at their back. Jon will choose House Stark over Dany any day of the week.
Jon’s true love - Dany may arrive at Winterfell and be unpleased about the way Jon acts around his “sister” Sansa. She’ll be pissed, as she’ll truly know what Jon in love looks like, not what Tyrion has been whispering in her ear. Perhaps Jon will have to make a choice between Sansa and Dany, which leads me to my next theory:
Kidnap Plot 2k18 - Sophie Turner has confirmed that she’s been filming in Croatia, and there have been set pictures of Jon bending the knee to Cersei floating around. There’s also the fact that in s7, Sansa says “I won’t step foot in King’s Landing while Cersei Lannister lives. If they want another Stark prisoner, they can come and take me.” This doesn’t bode well for our girl. I don’t see Cersei being able to send men so far north in the winter (unless Euron and the ironborn are up for the job,) so I think she will take Sansa while she is in the Vale or Riverrun with all of the other northerners who are unable to fight as the White walkers venture further south. Perhaps Brienne will stay behind to protect Arya and Bran, making her even more vulnerable. Cersei will probably find out this info from Qyburn’s little birds, and take her. When Jon and the rest of the Starks will find her gone, he’ll realize what has happened, and do everything in his power to save her, including bend the knee. As he has already bent the knee to Dany, she will view this as the ultimate betrayal. He was supposed to be honorable, and trustworthy. He was supposed to love her. I could see this being the final straw, the marker for Dany’s decline into madness.
I think that all three of these options are viable, most notably, the kidnapping plot. But whatever happens, Jon will ultimately be her third betrayal, and possibly, her downfall.
