Completing my watch of Star Wars Rebels and I'm find it quite odd that the inquisitors disappear after the second season, our heroes don't come up against another and they're never mentioned again. I suppose we're to assume that Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister were the last two and the rest were killed by other people - most likely other surviving Jedi etc. I would've liked more answers about the Inquisitors, i.e. how many there were/are and where they came from, especially with the Grand Inquisitor claiming to be a former Jedi Knight.

It's left open-ended. We know that there were at least 7 of them. And at least 3 of them were killed. Plus Grand Inquisitor who also died. No details on the fate of the others. But it seemed to be implied that they had other missions besides just hunting down the Ghost crew, or even other Jedi in hiding. It's left to our imagination as to what happened to the others. (Where they killed in other tasks? Did Palpatine have the rest of them killed because of their failure on Malachor? Did they continue on but just get reassigned?) But it seems that the writers wanted to move away from them. They definitely seemed to want to put much focus on Ezra's flirtation and temptation with the Darkside. As well as his connection with Maul. They never brought the Inquisitors back into the story at any point after that theme played out.

Fair points, I started thinking that two more seasons of fighting Inquisitors would be repetitive. The best bet now is hoping Inquisitors appear in other Star Wars production going forward, i.e. Novels, Video Games etc and more is revealed about them.

but they were lame villains, just Stormtroopers with light sabers. I did not even realize to this point that they were not in S3. Don't miss them.

I can't exactly disagree that they were lame villains, although I'd describe them more as generic threats that our heroes had to overcome, and that they had no personality. Hell, I would've liked more Vader in season 2, instead of him book-ending the season.
