If you can be pulled out of a story, by bad cgi, then you suck at watching movies. Actually it means the filmmakers suck at making them. If the movie itself was engaging, it would be the least problem with it. The musical score is also pretty forgettable too.

I never really understood the "too much cgi" complaint. I can understand people complaining about bad cgi, and we can definitely debate about that, but complaining about too much cgi in movies like these is, IMO, a stupid complaint.
There's really no better way to properly do movies with this much fantastical elements than with CGI.
I mean, what's the alternative? Stop-n-go clay figurines? Limited movement animatronix? Guys in unwieldy rubber suits?

So they should leave the CGI and musical scores to you, right?

I grew up with stop motion animation, guys in rubber suits, iguanas that were supposed to be dinosaurs, and flying saucers swinging on fishing lines and I loved all of it. If the story is good, the FX don't matter. Complaining about CGI is the easiest thing in the world to do when you can't think of anything else. I think every movie that ever used CGI has had people on the internet complaining about the CGI. It's a complete throw away. These movies have 200+ million dollar budgets. They are charging us through the nose for ticket prices. I expect the CGI to be excellent. I expect the 3D technology to be worth it. Cant let studios get away with cheap looking CGI for the amount audiences pay in tickets and brush it off easily. Thats how standards drop and studios become lazy if we accept mediocrity. Same thinking when purchasing games. Tge fallout 76 game has awful graphics and they charged full price. Most of the money goes to the actors plus you don't notice 90% of the CGI in movies.

So they should leave the CGI and musical scores to you, right? They need to hire better people. More quality control etc. It's a problem with management.

Yes, they should fire the management responsible for the most successful and profitable franchise in movie history. I'm sure they will get right on that.

None of these address the fact that: 1. CGI is expensive 2. Movies operate within a limited budget

I don't care about 3D so I pay the same price for a ticket regardless of the movies budget. I've also been paying the same price for a ticket at my local theater for the last 10 years. I like these movies the way they are. If I didn't like them I wouldn't see them at all. When I don't like a movie I don't obsess over them on the internet. Then stop trying to censor people who wont accept everything a movie studio throws at them in blind faith.

Black Panther final cgi fight is unacceptable for a tentpole movie and shouldn't be glossed over and not criticised.

They could have hired a better composer than Ramin Djawdi.
That's another one of those diversity virtue signalling decisions like Ang Lee doing the Hulk.

Nah, it looks fine, and if you have a problem with that, God help you if you try to watch the original Star Wars trilogy.

So you're a racist and a moron. Well done. It's about merit. Hiring someone for the sake of diversity is racism.
Ang Lee was not hired for the Hulk because he knew the character. He was hired for globalist virtue signalling reasons.

Ang Lee was hired because the studio liked his work and were interested to see what he would do. The same approach Sony had with Raimi and WB with Nolan.
