Finished Star Wars Rebels and unless I've interpreted the ending wrong, it reveals Ahsoka was alive during the original trilogy WTF? This raises far too many questions for my liking.

I'll say, I want to know what's become of Ahsoka Tano a lot more than I what to know what becomes of Rey Nobody.

Didn't watch the last season...kinda stupid if she is alive. Why do we keep injecting shit that needs retconning just to make sense?

I didn't like the finale, not just for the space whales to the rescue or the fact that it makes the Empire look incredibly weak, but the finale creates some gaps and logic leaps.

Quite frankly, they should've killed Ahsoka in Twilight of the Apprentice because they clearly had no idea what to do with her during seasons 3 & 4 and just brought her back at the end of the show to say "She was alive all this time, now she's going away again"

I think this was a kids cartoon series was it not? You absolutely should not lose any sleep re the whereabouts of a kids cartoon character in films made, what, 40 years+ before someone even invented the said character...

It’s not that far fetched.
She went into hiding. Many Jedi went into hiding. The best examples are Obi Wan and Yoda.
It is not that difficult to imagine that she stayed hidden during the five years before the OT and then during the OT.
I am glad they made the decision to allow her to live after Vader and Palpatine. I look forward to seeing more adventures with her.

Yoda told Luke in Jedi that after his death he was the last of the Jedi. It's far fetched that a Jedi Master and a Jedi Force Ghost did not know about Anakin's former Jedi apprentice being alive. Or maybe they just lied again like with Vader, needlessly so.
Anyway, writing like this creates more logic leaps and inconsistencies than it should.

Why is it hard to imagine that Ashoka went into hiding after losing to Vader? She wasn’t a target when she joined the Rebellion. Now Vader knows about her. Ashoka quit the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars. In Rebels, she made it clear she was not a Jedi to Vader. So, technically, Yoda was right. Yoda was still alive when he made that comment. So, it is not that far fetched to think he didn’t know of Ashoka. Being a Jedi Master does not mean you can sense everything. Even the all powerful Palpatine couldn’t sense Luke arriving to Endor. And Vader and the Emperor didn’t know Yoda and Obi Wan were alive. Why would Yoda know of Ashoka? Obi Wan’s Ghost simply said Luke was their last hope. That could be interpreted in multiple ways. It could be that he knew Ashoka was alive, but was unable or unwilling to face Vader again. He was hoping Luke might be more powerful than Ashoka and would be able to do, what she could not.

The issue is one must make up stuff and bend the narrative based on "technicalities" to make the story work.
The story was simple: the Jedi fell, and Luke was the last one to pass on the knowledge and to face evil. Now we learn that, no, there was also Ashoka Tano, Vader's apprentice around, a powerful and experienced de facto Jedi in values and teachings (though technically not part of the - now destroyed - Jedi order). Also, Ezra Bridger a Jeid padawan who is likely around somewhere too.
And Obi Wan and Yoda somehow were unaware of these alternative talents as they preferred to pit an untrained emo-boy against his own father by lying. It's not unimaginable but it cheapens the storytelling and logic.

Ashoka faced and was defeated by Vader. Ezra status is a mystery. But he was last in a sticky situation. He wasn’t available. So, even if Obi Wan and Yoda were aware of those two, they probably figured they could not beat Vader and the Emperor and perferred not to waste their time. Luke was the son of the Chosen One. They were betting on Luke being more powerful than Ashoka or Ezra. They didn’t know how a fully trained Luke would do against the Emperor and Vader. It was a gamble. But they didn’t have much of a choice.
