I don't see a lot at the cinemas these days. Have Mandy on DVD and hope to watch it later this week. Hoping Roma is still playing next week and I can get to that at the cinema. The Favourite opens after Christmas so will almost definitely be able to catch that on the big screen. Buster Scruggs, You Were Never Really Here and The House That Jack Built will probably have to wait now. 'You Were Never Really Here' is definitely worth watching, but honestly, I am still a little confused as to what was real and what wasn't. I just saw it. Loved the restraint, the intensity, the sound design/music and Phoenix's distant, blunted performance. I took it pretty much at face value, but there was definitely an air of ambiguity about it, due to just how little was shown, that gave it another dimension.

If I hadn't read the review I mentioned before watching it, i would have taken it at face value also.
