I was a great sucker for that 80s TV trend of "the super machine" - be it Knight Rider, Airwolf, even Blue Thunder and Street Hawk (anybody remember Street Hark?). But Airwolf had to be my favourite of these shows. I just love the machine itself. A helicopter that could do Mach 2+, was heavily armoured, stealthy, and packed serious firepower? Never mind that it's ridiculous... it was amazing to my teenaged eyes. I also loved the Airwolf emblem : A wolf in sheep's clothing... which was what Airwolf was. Fold all those weapons away and it just looked like a normal helicopter, able to use any civilian heliport. But at the push of a button, the wolf emerges! Anyone else a fan of this show?

Yes, Airwolf was a great show... I have seasons 1 through 3 on DVD... I wasn't a fan of Season 4, when it originally aired... and so, I haven't gotten around to picking up that season yet on DVD... "Knight Rider" was my favorite of the shows you mentioned... Followed closely by Airwolf... The "Blue Thunder" TV Show was OK, but the Movie was far better. I never saw "Street Hawk". I think the Blue Thunder helicopter was cooler looking and had better gadgets... But, as you say, the "Wolf in sheep's clothing" concept was very interesting... Airwolf could also fly higher too... Pros & Cons to each helicoper... But I think what made Airwolf work so good as a TV Show, was the Characters... Stringfellow Hawk & Dominick Santini, were a great team... It's a shame that there were problems behind the scenes. Remember the Bluetick Coonhound "Tet"? The one that liked to look up women's dresses...
LOL!

AIrwolf was a very good show. Season 1 was very good, but I prefer season 2 and 3. Say what you want about season 3 but I enjoyed it. Season 4 was watchable, but nothing special. Obviously a completely different show.
