Weird story.
Some details for people not familiar with the case: In 2007, a 14-year-old English kid pretended to go to school. He came back home after his family left the house, changed out of his school uniform, then went to the bank and took 200 pounds out of his savings account. He bought a one-way train ticket to London, and was last seen on CCTV walking alone out of the train station in London. He hasn't been seen or heard from since.
From what I gather from stories I've read of the case, he wasn't a "troubled" kid, more of a nerdy kid who probably didn't have many friends, and if I recall correctly was described as a kid who pretty much came home from school every day to play video games.
Some oddities: *In the days leading up to his disappearance, Andrew broke his normal routine twice, walking 4 miles home from school instead of taking the bus as usual.
*Despite typically being up on time for school, on the day of his disappearance he woke up late and was "particularly irritable".
*The boy took his PSP, but did not take a charger for the PSP.
*Although he took 200 pounds out of the bank, he left about 100 pounds in cash in his bedroom that he'd saved up from birthdays.

CrepedCrusader sounds like he met someone recently and arranged to meet them. I’m guessing a female if he was straight and male if gay. Then he met with some foul play.

Bit of an update on the story: Just saw a video (I'll add a link below) on YouTube talking about the case, and there was some info near the end of the video that I hadn't heard before. In 2018 someone contacted police with a possible lead. They were in communication with someone online who went by the name "Andyroo", who'd claimed that their partner left them and they needed financial help to pay rent. The person offered to transfer some cash to help out, but Andyroo claimed he didn't have a bank account, and that he'd left home at 14 because he "felt like it". This was interesting because the family's nickname for Andrew had been "Roo". Authorities tried to get info on Andyroo from the website the communication had taken place on, but they'd recently changed their system and lost user data, so they weren't able to trace Andyroo. Could Andyroo be Andrew Gosden? Could the person who reported this have just made it up? Link: youtu.be/bzFwySdc6qQ
