Okay fair point. If she were the highlight of another Endgame trailer before CM comes out, then it would make people wanna see her individual film. But we don’t know yet. As for the MCU movies being sequels to each other, that’s honestly debatable. In some cases yes, but others not so much. You can watch Iron Man 1, Thor 1 and The First Avenger in any order and they wouldn’t confuse the storyline before Avengers 1. That's what makes it a hypothetical.
Doesn't matter if they don't confuse the storyline. But there are things in the movies that would confuse people who didn't see the previous movies. Iron Man 2 leads right into Thor with Coulson saying that he has to go where the hammer landed. First Avenger becomes backstory to Iron Man 2 with Howard Stark showing up. Incredible Hulk has Tony Stark show up and they talk about Iron Man 1 and forming the Avengers (something that was talked about in Iron Man). Nick Fury shows up at the end of First Avenger and no one would know who he is. But they would if they saw Iron Man 2. Avengers does a good job of summarizing the other movies to catch people up, though.
Ah, that’s it. The small things that add up.

Ah, that’s it. The small things that add up. I've learned that there are so many of those "small things that add up" in the MCU. People have made videos using seemingly throwaway lines that have big impacts when they pay off in future movies. The small things are very important.

I'm actually looking forward to it. But I think there is an entire media and fanboy mob that just wants to destroy it because it's Fox-Men. Not really. It just looks bad. Especially that they are trying to "fix" X3 only to double down on what was in it. FOX have been trying to fix X3 since 2006 and failed every time (X-Men Origins, The Wolverine, DOFP, Ivan Ooze and with this latest travesty Dark Phoenix). Time to start over in 2019 within the MCU.

How exactly does it “look” bad? What do you mean what was in it? I think you’re confusing it with the Gifted which is revisiting the cure plot. It looks like something that Netflix made. Something a big time studio, on their way out, okayed because they knew they were done.
Taking out the Cure story does not mean that the Dark Phoenix part of it wasn't crap. Doubling down on what they did with that is not a good idea.
Because the official trailer didn’t have any a special effects? Ever saw the alternate trailer that showed Jean in her Phoenix form and wrecking stuff? And remind me what they did with Dark Phoenix in X3. All I remind was her killing Cyclops for no reason and destroyed Xavier’s body in the first act then doesn’t do or say anything for the rest of the movie until the last few minutes of the movie she is killed by Wolverine after she tries to kill everyone...again for no reason. I didn’t see any of that in the trailer.

And we have one of the writers of that movie writing and directing this one.
Also, I'm not saying you should think it looks bad. It's just my opinion.

I had hopes for the main X-men movies after First Class. It looked like they were going in a good direction.

Co-writers don’t have the final say on a product. The director and the studio is the one calling the shots. Fair enough.

Yet, one of the writers of that movie is putting the same thing in the version he wrote and is directing and also producing. All he is doing is extending the Jean stuff from that movie.

You mean the fight at Jean’s house, the childhood flashback, and Xavier being somewhat responsible for the events? That’s from the source material.
