Dick Dale. More of a musician than a film entity, his surf music is legendary. Any fan of PULP FICTION knows his song "Miserlou" is the icing on the cake of the film's very powerful opening scene. RIP Dick Dale

Tom Hatten (11/14/26 - 3/16/19)A genial Los Angeles broadcast fixture, primarily on KTLA-5, for well over 50 years, first as host of Pier 5 (later known as The Adventures Of Popeye)... ...and in the '70s - '80s, true film buff that he was, as host of Family Film Festival... ...which sometimes attracted classic film luminaries for in-studio interviews, such as Bette Davis for the airing of Petrified Forest. Hatten also occasionally worked as an actor, which had been his ambition when first moving to L.A. from North Dakota; below, he appears in Spies Like Us. He was probably the first celebrity I ever saw in the flesh, at a personal appearance at my Encino, CA grammar school in the late-'50s. Anyone who was a Los Angeles TV viewer from the middle of the last century will most likely remember him, and fondly so. Deadline Hollywood Obit
