You do realize that the only time he was genuinely brutal or violent was in Logan right? The others played it safe. I mean yeah he did use his claws to kill in all the other movies, but I don’t see how the MCU could screw that part about him up.

Eg Breakout scene: perfect build-up from the first cut-away to the final shot of blood splatter on the wall. or this You see that in MCU movies? No. I can easily see how X-MCU movies could screw that part up. Very easily.

I rewatched that film some months ago, and when that scene came I though: OMG that will suck so hard after Logan. But I was actually impressed how old school they escalated the violence. Interesting what you can do within PG13. It did not de-fang Logan.

It's not really necessary in these kinds of films unless you really go realistic and gritty.

Patrick Stewart was fan casting. Link? Alex Ross also used Stewart's likeness for Xavier in his Marvels books.

And no for Efron as Logan. Logan should be the Rocket of the group. I don't want lead character Logan.

i wont be surprised if wolverine is never in the films. disney may see him more as a kingpin, punisher daredevil type. only it becomes idiotic since into the spiderverse kingpin is the main villian.
that should tell us just how dumbed down mcu movies are. the villain they cant put in a movie made it to an animated movie and still retained the violence from the comics and netlfix show in the animation.
but remember mcu spiderman was not even allowed to punch people.

At first I scoffed at this casting choice, but the more I think about it the more I'm convinced it's not that bad. Efron is short, jacked and kinda hairy. He's an accomplished dancer so that should lend a bit of spryness and agility for fight scenes. As far as acting goes, his resume is better than Jackman's when Jackman first landed the role.

Logan cant be the rocket of the group. oh wait. it disney's logan so its okay logan is the joke and not the broody complex guy from the comics as jackman played him to perfection and iconic status of respect that rdj cant even reach
let's just wait to see matt reeves batman school disney's joke fest wolverine
RDJ's Iron Man is the most popular superhero right now, even more than Batman.

Would they choose him? He was on Agents of SHIELD right? I guess they did have Alfre Woodard in both Luke Cage and Civil War.

You raise a good point, but he'd be so good as Logan I think most would forget about that and go along with the ride.
