Geez, I'm getting old and befuddled - I forgot we both have Dutch blood! I'm a outdoor kinda girl, but the extremes are daunting - it's hard to be outside in the frigid wind or the humid heat. The residence of my dreams would be a cabin in a forest next to a spring-fed brook, with ferns and moss and deer grazing near by in a clearing, but not eating my vegetables. And, no, I'm not drinking... yet! It sounds lovely, but the trouble with the cabin is that there's probably some idiot out in the woods with a gun, taking pop-shots at everything that moves... Yeah, but I'd use a few Mick (Crocodile) Dundee tricks to clear them out!

It is summer here but I am not sure what season I am looking forward to anymore 'cause the weather has been all over the place here lately and most of summer with the exception of a few days like yesterday hasn't really felt that much like summer and we hardly got any Christmas beetles in December 'cause it was cold and raining most nights. I am not looking forward to winter though after the amount of times I got the flu last year and I am hoping this year is different.

March 1st. Until then, winter can do its thing. I don't mind snow in Dec, Jan, & Feb... when it's supposed to snow. March 1st & beyond? Snow can stfu & gtfo asap.

My area was blanketed in snow in the last two days, kind of unexpectedly, as in more accumulation. My puppy disappears into drifts, when she goes outside to potty. She is a small Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with not much of a fur coat, and this is all very distressing to her. I am hoping that this snow, having the characteristics of an 'onion' snow, the last of the season, will indeed be the last.

I'm so ready for it to be late spring/early summer. I've been ready since 11/1.
