I think they will end up altering the future, Barry's disappearance, as well as Barry and Iris' kid(s). Harry"Eobard Thawne" Wells guessed her name was Dawn, hinting at their children in the comics, Don and Dawn.

I have a feeling you might be right or they will just have her go back to the future and we will never see or hear about her again 'cause they are known for doing that with some characters on these shows. I am still not entirely sure if she really is Nora Allen though or another speedster the Reverse Flash hired to pretend to be Barry and Iris' daughter. If you think about it Reverse Flash knows enough about Barry and Iris to pull something like that off with a person pretending to be their daughter and he could have spent months or years telling her everything about them and all the right things to say and do. I think she will turn out to be their daughter but I think we should brace ourselves for a chance that she isn't.

Pretty sure she is who she says, but she has an agenda such as stopping the events that lead to Barry going missing and is working with Thawne to that end, likely willing to release him if he helps her, my guess she's just a pawn as she seems obviously quite dumb at times like her dad, too many times she has been concerned or angry over a specific thing even when no one was around or it made sense for her to act that way unless it was legit and she's just a brat, but she likely never knew the exact details or nature of RF until she saw him for herself.
A guess I have heard is "Nora" will cease to exist by the end of the season but Dawn will and she'll be played by the same actress so it will be a death in name only sort of thing.
Only other thing I can think though with Nora is if Nora isn't Nora or she is but isn't, in she's a clone of Dawn powers and all who Eobard programmed before he was caught, ala Dr Gero & Cell from DBZ, with a mix of YJ Red Arrow & The Light splashed in, she doesn't know it though, so she thinks she is Nora West-Allen and her story is true but she's a fake and a sleeper agent that Thawne can add new orders or controls to when she visits him, but I think this is unlikely alos but could be fun atleast.

Well, it looks like you were right Dazz. Nora is who she says she is but I really wasn't expecting them to go with this new Reverse Flash is reformed and wants to use his powers for good angle and what are your thoughts on that and do you think he really has changed or he is just pretending he is and he is using Nora to get to Barry and as soon as her guard is down he will turn on her? I would say he is lying but they might be taking the Spike route with him and will have him stay on as a member of Team Flash instead of the current version of Wells they have who hasn't been a favourite among fans and he will not get a soul but he will become good and try to make up for all the bad things he did or they could go with the Sloane from 'Alias' angle and have him pretend to be good for a few seasons and just when everybody thinks he is good like Barry and Iris he will turn on them. With Sloane Sydney and Jack didn't believe he could change for a long time and then Sydney finally believed him and he killed his own daughter and become bad again. I seem to remember the Reverse Flash saying in an older episode there was a version of him that become good and maybe I am mixing this up with something else but I really do recall him saying that when he was speaking about the other versions of himself.
I actually wouldn't mind a reformed version of Reverse Flash 'cause it would be interesting watching Team Flash work with him but we still have the question of why he looks like Harrison Wells and isn't appearing in his own form. There is no reason why he is disguised when he is locked up and everybody knows who he is.

There is no reason why he is disguised when he is locked up and everybody knows who he is. My guess would be for why he looks as he does is it's because he used the device to fully absorb the DNA of Well's which doesn't allow him to shed the appearance like it did when he temporarily but not fatally took on Steins appearance, maybe it fades in time as he appears a lot older also, but that would be my guess as otherwise how does he know he killed Nora, he did that just before he got stuck in the past so he has to be some version of that RF.
I think it's a ploy but the Spike route would be interesting, or if they make him good but he ultimately has to turn on them, Eobard didn't want to be a villain at first, he wanted to be a hero he wanted to be The Flash but he couldn't, and he says he actually enjoyed and cared working with Team Flash but it was just the being stuck away from his world in a time where to him everyone was already dead was too much for him, so maybe a chance to do good and be a part of Team Flash would be something he would want, what I would like though if something happens and it's revealed Eobard HAS to be the Reverse Flash it's his destiny and a vital component in history, so just as he's at peace with being who he is and the team as well as Barry accepts him fully he has to go back to being RF or something terrible will happen, so you make him this doomed tragic character who only wants to be a hero but is destined to always be the villain.
But yeah I think it's a ploy there's a reason they showed the countdown, he wants something from her and is using her being a desperate and naïve child to get it, but theres probably truth to it also, RF in S1 what was so good was he was a conflicted but determined character, he didn't want to kill Cisco but he knew he had to so he did, which the show has forgotten about in the later seasons and just make him a normal villain, Eobard I imagine does regret killing Nora because he for one knows what it causes and results in meaning it was a pointless act really, same for trying to kill Barry as a kid, he cant prevent Barry becoming the Flash without hurting himself, and that's still a child and a innocent mother and Eobard whilst a monster doesn't seem to be the I kill because I like the feeling type of bad guy, killing Barry as an adult when it is less likely to impact Eobard and his personal history he'll probably be happy to try though.

Okay. Yeah. I suppose that does make sense and I read Matt Letscher who plays Eobard’s real form and was the Reverse Flash on ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ is coming back this season so Eobard might end up going back to his real form near the end or he might just be returning to play him again in a flashback based before he become the Reverse Flash. You brought up some interesting points in regards to how Eobard didn’t start out as a supervillain and wanted to be a superhero like The Flash and I have read some of his backstory in comics but I think it would be interesting if the show had an episode where they showed his origins set in the future ‘cause we have heard them talk about it but have never got to see it and while I wasn’t a big fan of DeVoe as you know I liked how they gave him an origins episode that showed some of his past and an episode of Reverse Flash like that where they show him trying to be a hero and ultimately deciding to be a villain could be good.
I was getting the characters mixed up there for a second and was thinking you were talking about Nora Allen and not Barry's Mum and wondering when he killed Nora off but then I remembered Barry's Mum was Nora too. What you wrote about it turning out Eobard has to be the villain would be a very different type of path to go with him and kinda reminds me of Lex in 'Smallville' with how he said every great hero needed a great villain to push them to their limit and make them better and I think Lex really believed that and in becoming a villain he was somehow helping Clark in his own twisted way and maybe they could do something similar to that with Eobard but make it more tragic or near the end they could have everybody believe he become good and then they suspect him of being a villain again or he is framed and Barry fights him again and he dies saving Barry or something and Barry finds out he was still good. That would be a tragic way for the character to go but I am not sure what they will do with him.
I think he is just pretending to be good too and using Nora as part of some plan to take Barry down but I wouldn't count out having a good version of Reverse Flash in the future and I have always thought it would be fun to have a Prime Earth episode where we get to see good versions of the villains and they could have good versions of Reverse Flash, Zoom and the Trickster.

Do you ever get the feeling the writers know as much as the viewers and are just making it up as they go, with no thought or rhyme or reason for anything they do?

I don't think I know it, they admitted to it with the whose in the grave storyline back in S4 of Arrow anyway, and it's not like the logic, tension, revelation or set up for that was anymore stupidly done than a bunch of their other "long term" stories, and clearly despite what they claimed at points the flashbacks were never all that planned out past S2.

Do you ever get the feeling the writers know as much as the viewers and are just making it up as they go, with no thought or rhyme or reason for anything they do? I think they are making it up as they go with 'Arrow.' This season has been the most confusing and unfocused season they have made to date and in all the previous seasons there was always a goal and a purpose even when it wasn't handled well like in Season 4 but we still know the focus was Oliver taking down Damian Dhark and stopping him from destroying Star City. In this season that is out the window and I have no idea where they are heading with it.

This show is on its final legs. If they keep beating the horse it’s gonna cark it. The writing makes Hale and Pace look like a soap opera.

Guess I need to go finish this season. It has been a chore to watch. Just awful.

I mean, maybe, possibly - I wouldn't be surprised if Jessica Parker Kennedy shows up again, as Nora, just not the iteration that came back in time to meet her dad; in which case it's not so much that she ceased to exist, as her personal timeline got re-written. Either way, something along these line seemed pretty obvious; it's not like their daughter would just stick around forever.
