It doesn't surprise me that he stopped getting major roles after Kingdom of Heaven flopped. It's only come to my attention in recent years that people seem to actively despise the guy. I liked him just fine. He's typically called to play the Errol Flynn-esque heartthrob for teen girls to geek over and plays it well enough.

I never knew he was hated that much. I personally think he’s a fine actor.

He's no Errol Flynn.
He has little screen charisma. He's kind of like David Manners.
Remember when David Manners killed Bela Lugosi?
Neither do I. Because he didn't.
How about the time he killed Boris Karloff and saved the girl?
He didn't do that either.
Apparently he had a big fan club in the 1930s though.
I am stunned.

I didn't realize he was still relevant enough to hate.

Hate...annoying would be my wording. He is no asset but a liability to a movie. Kingdom of Heaven (DC) is great not because but despite of him. Legolas - in "The Hobbit" a borderline Gary Stu character.

Not sure. But there's actually a live journal titled Orlando Bloom Haters; Chris Pratt once deemed it an embarrassment to be punched by Bloom; articles dedicated to disparaging his acting; the whole Katy Perry thing. Lots of stuff like that. Seems unwarranted imo.

I have never seen him in anything to hate him. However maybe others hate him for his stupid and unfortunate name?
