When was the last time you went outside? A couple of days ago. You are in the middle of a heat wave, am I right? It sounds downright dangerous. I have a winter storm heading my way, and between excessive snowfall and bitter cold temps, I may be homebound a few days, and possibly without electricity. But I have a wood-burning stove, and I am stocked up on provisions.

"So, one time a queer, a homo and a gay guy walked into a bar..." ....Which one liked the cock? Well, the gay boy claims his love for the big ballsacks; other than that, cocks and asses are up for grabs. I guess maybe you'll get the coveted hardons, TC, and judging from past posts, Gameboy seems to like very young, tight, man cherry. He can have all of em he wants.

What if they live in an apartment? Then they need to get off their mother's couch. They should get off their mother’s couch, mount their high horse and ride to the top of the nearest moral high ground.

Unfortunately, it became very humid, there was no breeze and the house was still like an oven after the recent hot days, so the conditions were still annoying.
However, it's evening now and it's bloody lovely! There's a very mild chill to the air, there's a slight breeze and the house is very comfortable inside.
The trouble is I haven't been into town for over a week, so I'll have to make arrangements to go in soon to check on the mail and buy supplies. I could still easily manage for a few more days, but best not to leave it until the last moment.

It is best not to leave these things until the last moment. My good friend and I, both widows living in rural America, have a theory: the better prepared you are, the less likely you are going to need it. So we cut wood and stockpile pet food (and a little for ourselves) and kid ourselves that we are doing a 'community service' so the extreme weather issues are less extreme. Good luck with your heat wave, I would gladly send you a bit of our winter storm!

Not too bad at present, but the next few days shall start to get steadily worse...
Today: Cloudy 88° / 65°
Sunday: Mostly Cloudy 93° / 68°
Monday: Mostly Cloudy 98° / 69°
Tuesday: Sunny 103° / 76°
Wednesday: Sunny 104° / 78°
If this trend continues unabated, I shudder to think what it'll be like this time next week.

Yikes! Stay hydrated! I've got plenty of non-alcoholic liquids in the house. And quite a few alcoholic ones too.
Just checked a second weather site and the prognosis is even worse.
By next Thursday, it'll be 110°, before the cool change on Friday that'll bring it all back down to current temperatures. Then we begin again...

Well, they are Fahrenheit, and I never developed the skill of conversion from one to the other. But suffice it to say, it's f-ing FREEZING up here! But I deal better with cold than with heat; I can always put on more clothing! And, I have a living kitty blanket! I'll be sleeping all snugged up tonight.

In winter you can always put on another jumper or pair of socks. In summer you can only take so much off - unless you live alone or in an isolated location.
I like cats, but thankfully there don't seem to be any living in the neighbourhood at present.
I've got a generous supply of food and water setup under the back veranda and all the birds from miles around call in for a drink and a snack. And judging by the growing numbers, I think news of it has been spread around by tweet of beak.

We went outside this morning and were planning on taking our Malshis for a walk but it was boiling so we came back inside. The past few days have been the hottest days we have had this summer and it is much better staying inside with the air conditioner on.
