When the "Gabby" storyline started wrapping up, they should have already had something big brewing to keep the momentum going. Jack's return wasn't it.
Right now we have:
- Sarah, Eric, Rex - Jack, Eve, Jennifer - Brady and Chloe - Chad trying to win back Abby - Hope is still after Ben
- Will and Sonny sneaking around - Lani and Eli - JJ and Haley
I don't speak for everyone, but all of those pairings and stories are boring as hell. Not to mention there are characters like Marlena, Roman, Abe, and Kayla who are doing nothing.

I'm interested in Jack and Jen. Plus this isn't a sweeps month, so it's to be expected. Things should pick up for February sweeps.

Well I find the Leo/Xander storyline to be very funny and interesting.
Also, I’m really digging on Brady/Chloe. They both have great chemistry together .
I actually like Jack’s new attitude. When he accepted the $10,000 from Chad for dinner with the family, I cracked up. I like that Jack’s character has a clean slate. Some of the writing for him in the past was terrible. Matthew Ashford is a great actor and it’ll be interesting to see Jack with a new slate.

Jack's wildly popular, so it does seem like that's holding people's interested. I'm enjoying January a lot so far. I was so done with the Gabby storyline.

So I like Jack being back but I don't like Eve being involved in this storyline because she is the worst.
I love anything with Chad and Abigail but I hate they are leaving so I am feeling sad about their upcoming departure. I loved Chad ripping into Gabi yesterday. Honestly who writes her dialogue?! She sounds crazier than when Abigail's DID was acting up. "I loved you Chad, I never wanted to hurt you!" WTF do you think hurting Abigail would do to him, Gabi??? Ugh - she can leave any time now. I can't see how they can redeem her. "Abigail cheated on you and killed your brother..." ugh.
Can't stand Sarah and her bizarre and irrational over-attachment to Eric. EFF OFF LADY! She is just too much!!!
Can't stand anything with Hope...how does she still have a job?
Will and Sonny are boring and I don't like Leo at all but I think the stuff with Xander is hilarious. I like Xander and glad he is back.
JJ and Haley sucks. Boring.
I like Eli a lot, and I don't mind him and Lani, but they are barely on.
Stefan can leave any time now. He makes me sick. I'm actually looking forward to the temporary recast coming up, might make me stomach the character a little more because I really can't stand Tyler Christopher.

It's not a temporary recast anymore. It's been confirmed Tyler Christopher never returned to the role and Brandon Barash is playing him indefinitely.

Really? that's awesome - happy to hear it. I feel bad for TC's personal issues but I don't care for him in the role at all.
Also, today, Rex mentioned Noelle, Sarah's sister...who???

I’m also not remembering Noelle. I know Daniel was Maggie’s biological Son and then there was another character who I believe was named Sommer?!?
I’m not crazy about them throwing Chloe and Rex together. I really like Chloe and Brady. Just because Nadia Bjorlin and Kyle Lowder played lovestruck teens, they weren’t anything great. I thought she was much better with Phillip. If they both start singing to each other again, I’ll pass. Hopefully, Ron has picked up in the chemistry with Eric Martsolf and Nadia.
Lastly, Sarah needs to pack her bags and go back to Chicago. Her stalkerish behavior with Eric is so pathetic and boring. It’s destroying Eric’s character as well.
Give me more Xander and Leo. They are hilarious.

They mentioned that Salem PD has an IT department. Hopefully they explain why the IT department doesn't back up the department's databases. If that goes unanswered, that would be shoddy writing, even for a soap.

LOL at "if they start singing again..." I AGREE! NO SINGING! I have bad memories/nightmares of Chloe and LowderBrady singing in the park on the swings.  Noelle Curtis...Neil's daughter with Liz Chandler. *shrug* Sarah really is awful. She's hysterical half the time! I don't understand why they are writing her like this. |
