It was bad bad bad. The scene is so out of character. Vader never used a light saber except against another Jedi. Using it on no name rebel soldiers was beneath him. He could deflect laser blasts with his hand. And choke people easily but why do that? Aren't the stormtroopers called storm-troopers because they are supposed to do that stuff? Also, the cinematography is so modern and tv-like. They don't even try to replicate the old movie look. Darth Vader's helmet looks funny. His neck is strange. I am theorizing they didn't make it reflective so it stands out more. And the original movie helmets were hand sculpted so they were imperfect and dirty. The new one was done by computer. Sometimes perfection isn't so desirable.
Disney, just stop. Stop.

I felt he should’ve been more scenes making him more of an impact on the story. But I don’t have any problem with him using a lightsaber in the hall scene.

I liked it. It was probably my favorite part of the movie (which I found only middling), in fact. I’m really not interested in the finer points being abided to, as long as the major character-elements are faithful. But, then, I only saw these movies last year and, by the standards of “fandom” around these parts, would probably not be considered a “fan” of any franchise.

Another thing, why are the Emperor's personal guards watching Vader naked in the tank?
He doesn't need guards right?

He's getting shot at by at least half a dozen people, what did you expect him to do?
He can't deflect blaster bolts. He's getting hit by them in The Empire Strikes Back, there's even sparks and smoked improvement:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93pXrmCdlI0. He can't do that with as many people that were shooting at him.
And why wouldn't he need guards when he was defenseless in the bacta tank?
Your comments are just biased as all hell.

I felt he should’ve been more scenes making him more of an impact on the story. But I don’t have any problem with him using a lightsaber in the hall scene. I didn't have a problem with him using either, but you're wrong if you think more scenes with him would've had more of an impact. That would've cheapened it. That would've made it like a prequel. Less is more in this case.
