I know this is way past the due date but I never got the chance to discuss it (sad face for OG imdb). What did you think of the series finale and the final season as a whole?

No. I haven't watched the show yet Biz but I have heard about it and seen ads for it when we have been watching other shows on Fox8 and have been meaning to watch an episode but I have been too busy with other shows. What is it about exactly and does it have any famous actors from other shows in it?

Well it's a Vampire Diaries spin-off about the original vampire family. They spawned all the other vamps. More mature, Ive never seen TVD but I hear it's more for teens. It's kinda like Game of Thrones, people die but some obviously are harder to kill. Werewolves, vampires and witches. This very show now has a spin-off too. I highly recommend, at least watching the pilot. Great casting, characters, production and writing. Everything you could want in a show. I feel like it was designed for me

I haven't seen 'The Vampire Diaries' either and was unaware 'The Originals' was a spinoff show from it. Do you find yourself having trouble understanding certain parts of the show 'cause you never watched 'The Vampire Diaries' or does it still make sense without it 'cause it is difficult to do that with 'Angel' especially since they had some crossover episodes in the first season. I will try to check it out sometime 'cause I do like Horror shows with those things in them and I think the episodes might be available to download on Foxtel Download for free.

Nope not at all. There is a crossover ep however but you dont really need to know anything previously. Then further on in the later seasons, you have Caroline and Alaric but no, no essential previous viewing required unless youre curious about those specific characters

Yeah there are quite a few of us in the business. Im just surprised sometimes when I look up certain actors and they turn out to be Australian or from New Zealand. Yvonne Strahovski from Chuck is Australian, then theres Rose McIver who is the lead of iZombie, being from New Zealand. Obviously there's Nicole Kidman who at one stage, was the highest-paid actress for an advertisement.
A four minute feature film made by director Baz Lurhmann (Australia) advertising Chanel No. 5 perfume is the world’s most expensive TV advertisement costing £18 million ($33 million) to produce. Starring Nicole Kidman (Australia) as a Marilyn Monroe-style actress who is pursued by paparazzi, the advert made its debut on the big screen in cinema’s throughout the USA on 1 November 2004 and subsequently premiered on USA television on 11 November 2004. Having made its initial debut on the big screen in the USA, the advert went on to be shown in cinemas and subsequently television screens throughout Australia, UK, France and the Netherlands from November 2004. The glamorous production awarded Nicole Kidman a fee of 2 million ($3.7 million) to appear and featured couture outfits by designer Karl Lagerfeld and a sound track by classical composer Debussy.

Baz Luhrmann directing Nicole Kidman in a homage to Marilyn Monroe? Seems strangely familiar.

I couldn't find the show on Foxtel Download but we will get around to watching it sometime this year and at the moment we have just finished watching the final episode of 'Angel' and we are re-watching the second half of Season One of Gotham' along with Season One of 'Shadow Hunters' and Season One of 'Smallville' and we are going to watch Season 4 of 'Marvel's Agents of SHIELD' after we have finished with 'Shadow Hunters.' Have you seen 'Shadow Hunters?' It has Katherine McNamara in it who is now in 'Arrow' and the show has three seasons and the final episodes are going to air in America very soon. I like the show and am disappointed it was cancelled.Katherine McNamara is a good actress and is very sexy and it was a shame she didn't get a better role in the 'Arrowverse' than being an alternate version of Speedy who is Felicity's daughter.
Cool to hear you are watching Shadowhunters Deb I am bummed about the show ending, who are your fav characters in it at the moment? mine is Magnus as No.1 and No.2 kind of depends on the episode.
is anyone watching Legacies BTW, the spin off of both TVD & TO...you will need to watch atleast S6 & 7 of TVD & S4 & 5 of TO if you want to kind of know where most things stand in the show however.
As for TO I was a huge TO fan, loved me some Klaus ending was bitter sweet and also felt a little forced so they could do Legacies but still a nice enough ending, though I would have liked them to do something else, especially considering what Legacies has going on they could have changed it up and kept things as is for the most part.
Final season sort of felt eh to me a bit, some of the choices especially I just kind of didn't like, for me I wanted more of a Original family united maybe have them be the outright heroes and not simply the heroes in their own story for a change, or delve into more of Klaus's father's side of his family tree and lineage which they never went to deep on which was a wasted opportunity imo, TO should have done more to highlight the power of Klaus being what he was rather than just increasing more and more overpowered foes who he could barely stand up against, but oh well, still Joseph Morgan's portrayal of Klaus throughout was amazing imo.

@deblovesbeccy no I havent seen shadow hunters, ill check out the trailer and the pilot though. dazz Yeah agreed. The final season disappointed me as well as the ending, felt really forced and too neat. Although the writing suffered a bit after the end of season 3 on the whole. Legacies is ok, obviously not as mature as TO but I guess Im watching it because of TO, apparently Klaus is going to appear soon? It's also much more procedural than TO. Joseph Morgan was definitely the star of the show, followed closely by Daniel Gillies. Marcel as a character was alright but he played the victim card a lot imo and it really is true and because of that, he is kind of a shadow of his mentor as Klaus said when he was locked up down there all by himself. As for other ideas they couldve gone for apart from Legacies hmm. It still surprises me that Hope is not trying to find a way to bring her father and uncle back from the dead even if it may be pointless. Would like to have seen the attempt, always and forever after all. It is amazing that as powerful as Klaus was, they managed to create some pretty good villains. Imagine if the Arrow writers had to run this show... Klaus as a villain is just as interesting to me as Lex was in Smallville. Anyway back to other ideas, I think they could have spun-off the Strix, there is potential there. I wouldntve have tuned in if they did a witch or a werewolf spin-off Have you seen this interview with the TO cast? It's a great one.

We are still watching the first season but we have had a break from watching it ‘cause we have been too busy watching a lot of other new shows we have recorded on our Foxtel IQ in between watching ‘Smallville Season 2’ and ‘Gotham Season 2’ again but we plan on watching more of it this week and I am enjoying the show and it is very much the genre Beccy and I both enjoy. It is somewhat confusing with Clary finding out all these new things she didn’t know existed before and who her Father is and not to mention, everything her Mum kept from her and I remember seeing a Horror movie years ago where there were all these supernatural beings who were walking around in the day time that only the protagonist could see and didn’t realise and how they set that up reminds me of that. One thing that looks pretty obvious is Clary is going to end up with Jace and they look to be hinting at that in these episodes.
As for the characters, my favourite character is Clary, of course and I am looking forward to seeing what kind of powers she has and how she evolves as a character throughout the show now she knows all these things and adjusts to them and I don’t mind Isabelle either. She is quite the naughty one, isn’t she? and she’s very nice looking and I didn’t know she was a famous model. Here are some pics of her with Katherine.

They are my favs to look at I will admit, but I just love Magnus, his scenes are always enjoyable.
I think the film may have been Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones, which was the movie adaptation of the book series Shadowhunter is based on, so it had the same characters & set ups, but it flopped at the box office, it had Lily Collins, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Lena Headey & Robert Sheehan in it, I m pretty sure I watched it myself but kind of forgot myself, but that was a YA film just with I think horror elements in it, no idea what other films did this specifically, though seems to be a trope used often to different degree's.
