They come from allegations by four different men who accuse Singer of inappropriate contact or even sexual relations when they were underage. Some going back all the way to the 1990s. Singer has published a response to the allegations.
TEXT:
"The last time I posted about this subject, Esquire magazine was preparing to publish an article written by a homophobic journalist who has a bizarre obsession with me dating back to 1997. After careful fact-checking and, in consideration of the lack of credible sources, Esquire chose not to publish this piece of vendetta journalism. That didn't stop this writer from selling it to The Atlantic. It's sad that The Atlantic would stoop to this low standard of journalistic integrity. Again, I am forced to reiterate that this story rehashes claims from bogus lawsuits filed by a disreputable cast of individuals willing to lie for money or attention. And it is no surprise that, with Bohemian Rhapsody being an award-winning hit, this homophobic smear piece has been conveniently timed to take advantage of its success."

nothing new, a bunch of vague accusations, if there is a crime go to the cops, not sell your story to the press

There are typical agendas at stake here and these so-called underage guys, also knew what they were doing at the time and what they wanted. Many of these allegations are now becoming about smear campaigns as well and shows the dirty underbelly of journalism and its own insidious agendas and lawyers can use this to play their own corrupt games. eh, in this case though, Singer has engaged in alot of shady behavior and unprofessional behavior for awhile.

eh, in this case though, Singer has engaged in alot of shady behavior and unprofessional behavior for awhile. Perhaps, but no more than others who take their positions and influence to extreme behaviors, some just get made to light over others. We need to ask though, is some of this really news-worthy and how important is it in the larger scheme of things? There are personal agendas at stake too, if a quick buck is to had. true, but i think the better aspect we need to be asking ourselves is how accountable should actors on set be who might've been privy to this behavior, how many express fake outrage when they likely knew etc. I mean the whole Renfro thing, or the set of Rhapsody were Malek expressed surprise as if hes new to these allegations. its the fake outrage which is troubling actually.
