Given that this film has fewer than 500 votes on IMDb, I don't really expect anyone here to have seen it or to respond to this post. However, I watched it on YouTube last night and thought I'd provide a short review.
It's a 1990 made-for-TV movie kind of in the style of DUEL. It's about a mysterious car that terrorizes a small Arizona town by abducting and molesting (and in one case killing) young, pre-pubescent girls.
We never see the driver, so the movie kind of feels supernatural, even though it isn't (I don't think).
For about half the film, the car goes around abducting girls and revving its engine to scare our protagonist, a mother who has taken the job of a schoolbus driver.
Then, the movie turns into DUEL. The car kidnaps the mother's daughter right in front of her while she is in the schoolbus. For about the next 45 minutes, the mother follows around the car so that she can get her daughter back.
It's not a bad movie over all, but it does give way to the ridiculous quite often, especially during the chase. While watching it, I kept wishing the mother would turn into a badass, but she doesn't. She's much more true to real life. She does stupid things, like get out of the bus just so she can almost be run down by the car. I kept wanting a Ripley-like character to emerge, but no,
During the chase, there are also kids in the bus, and they keep screaming to stop and to let them out, even though the mother explains why she can't stop. They were annoying at a time when they should have added to the suspense.
For me, this is a kind of film that it's good to see once but then never again. It's not offensive, but there's not much more here than movie-of-the-week quality. However, if you are a parent of a young girl, this movie might be more meaningful to you.

I have this on a still sealed DVD I got for $1.00 at a discount store. Now I'll make sure to watch it sometime soon.

Sounds interesting. The director Christopher Cain is extremely talented in my opinion and was on a roll with 'Where The River Runs Black' (1986), 'The Principal' (1987) and 'Young Guns' (1988).

I recently watched it and talk about a very odd made-for-TV feature. Definitely a film of two halves playing out like a hallmark special. The context is unsettling, but the treatment of it was ludicrous. Especially with the long-winded chase sequence and its use of dramatic slow-motion. Odd, but amusing.
