Do you want another one? The first was great mindless popcorn fun In my books - 7/10 beers 2 iconic characters on the screen like the legendary AvP. I mean ... There's so many avenues they can go with this... And make it a blockbuster for Halloween season. Perhaps the rumored Ash. Perhaps the rumored quasi 'Helloween' with Michael vs. Pinhead - only this time you use Freddy using Michael to take down Jason and Pinhead aligning with Jason or whatever. We need a 'fun' horror movie with Icons. Been eons in my book Yay or Nay?

Ash vs Freddy, Jason etc could potentially be a huge thing if it happened.

I don’t see it happening any time soon, but never give up hope.

I'm not a big fan of the "vs" movies, but if it's something you're into who am I to tell you you're wrong for wanting another one?

Stan Lee's Dracula could take both of them.

I'm definitely down for Freddy vs Jason vs Ash. The comic is one thing, but it's not the same without Bruce Campbell.
And a Destroy All Monsters type deal with even more icons thrown in would be even groovier.

Not at all I would still like to see it too! But to much time has passed and they have had years to do it! But they keep passing on it along with several other ideas for Friday the 13th film.
All those other ones like bring in many of the survivors to take on Jason, doing a winter setting or even that Jason vs Jarvis film they have passed on them all.
It seems the only two viable options are to completely start over or do a prequel and out of those two options I'll take the prequel over a remake/reboot any day. But just as long as the prequel is actually good and not that crap one that Paramount almost got off the ground a few years ago!
Thank god they got cold feet on that one and pulled the plug.

Doubt it since Robert England is done with Freddy.
Would be hard to top the final fight in the first one.

I want to see it too. So do I vote "Yes" to also wanting to see it or "No" to you not being wrong for wanting it?

So many of the horror properties are burned out anyway. It's well past time for an Abbott and Costello treatment and Ash would be ideal for it. He could mock the predator as a hasbeen.
He could be surfing on the back of the Jaws shark.
Lots of possibilities.

Today they might actually get it right. Why would they? Look at the last two from each franchise... But I also sort of enjoy Freddy vs Jason. It's dumb, but I think it's fun. It strikes a nice tone, has some good over the top kills, balanced both killers pretty well, has your predictable stock characters but is populated by a decent cast, and has a stylish look. All things considered it could have been a lot worse and was much better than either series' previous installment.

Jason is a better film than New Nightmare. I hope you are referring to Freddy's Dead instead. I hope...

New Nightmare is actually a legitimate movie, and I was thinking of Freddy's Dead. I guess it slipped my mind because I don't think of it as a sequel, since it stands outside of the series, but you're right. It does count as part of that franchise, and it's clearly better than Freddy vs Jason.
