Is it your prediction or your desire. It seems to me that it is your prediction. Its my prediction. I’m 100% throwing in with you. The night king will destroy most of the country including Kings landing(throne and all). Atleast half of the main characters will die and the remaining will have to rebuild the world from scratch. This would fit with it being bittersweet. I find it hard to believe it’s going to be conventional “Jon sits on throne” the end type stuff.

The North, the Iron Islands, the Riverlands, the Vale, the Westerlands, the Reach, the Stormlands and Dorne. That's 8. Add the Crownlands if you want, that's 9.
The idiot can't even count.

The big problem with this theory in regards to the show, is they haven't left anyone who could feasibly rule Dorne, The Reach or The Stormlands.
The show is eliminating characters, moving towards a bilateral rule between Jon Snow and Dany. Or perhaps with one of them ruling after the other dies. Any other ending would be considered a huge twist at this point, and D&D have proven they can't do twists without Martin's guidance.

The North has been independent since the end of S6, the Vale does what it pleases, Dorne is in rebellion. The Night King could vanish and the place would still go divided through winter. Cersei "rules" over half of it at best and empires do not reform. The North is not worth conquering for anyone. Only some alliance between Cersei and Sansa could put these parts together, then Sansa could marry Robin, after all. Otherwise, the Vale will become some new Switzerland again. Dorne will be left to its own device. They can try and sell grilled snake in scorpion sauce to the Free Cities all they like.

Westeros will be 7 independent kingdoms when its all over. No, in a shock ending the monarchy will be abolished and the United States of Westeros will be formed, a democratic republic. Podrick will become the first elected President of the USW.

Gendry and Samwell Tarly both have noble blood from the Stormlands and Reach respectively, and Davos has a title and lands in the Stormlands. Can't think of anything from Dorne though, unless somehow Elleria still survives in Cercei's dungeon.
I do agree that they're unlikely to split up though.

I read that you need to lay odds, meaning you have to risk more than you can win, on Bran of all people if you bet on this in Vegas. Next is Jon but they'll give you 6 for one or so, a more typical payout considering the field. What does Vegas know? Or did some dingbat(s) with more money than they need put huge sums on Bran on a hunch or bad info? That could lower his payout to such a meager amount, but considering hundreds if not thousands of people must know this answer I wonder if it really is Bran and Vegas got word?

It looks like this changes rapidly, I just looked and Bran is now better than 1:1 but still the clear favorite. Why Bran? That makes little sense on any level.

Don't waste your time with this, it's pointless: Heh, Bran could still be sitting on it if she 'just popped it in her bag.' He probably folds up fairly easily as you could lop off his legs and he wouldn't notice. Why Bran though? Seriously, someone obviously put bigtime money on him, there's real money involved here.
