The following two movies are scheduled to be released on blu ray by Shout! Factory in May: The Chosen (1978) A poor man's Omen. Leonard Maltin gave this a BOMB rating in his movie guide book and wrote this humorous review: "Nuclear power exec slowly realizes that his son is the Antichrist who plans to use nuclear power to bring on world destruction. There! We just saved you 105 minutes." The Seduction (1982) Anybody see this thriller about a newswoman stalked by a crazed fan? I myself never got the chance to see it so I might pick it up. And after all, how can I resist a movie that has a hot tub scene with Morgan Fairchild.

David Schmoeller’s ‘The Seduction’ from what I remember was an okay thriller with a capable cast, especially in the support roles. Sort of well-made; the photography and a few striking moments, but an inconsistent script and dreary pace kind of dampen it.
Kind of got me interested in ‘The Chosen’ aka ‘Holocaust 2000’ (the title I’m more familiar with). Italian made Omen-rip, Kirk Douglas, Ennio Morricone score and gory deaths. Sounds tempting.
Scream Factory have announced a few eye-catching horror titles within the last month or so. I’m interested to see how “Superstition”, “The Brain” and most recently “When a Stranger Calls Back” stack up.

Glad to see them moving away from newer titles. A Collector's Edition of Green Inferno is coming soon. Really?!
Also of note, Night of the Creeps at the end of May. Thrill me!

The Seduction was just fair, but it has one scene that I have never been able to get out of my mind.

I seen The Seduction like 10 years ago. Nothing special.

Shout! will be releasing the very low budget Grave Of The Vampire (1972) on April 16th. Not a particularly good horror movie, but it's worth noting that it was written by David Chase who was the head writer on the TV shows Kolchak: The Night Stalker and The Sopranos. Also, it stars genre favorite William Smith.
Bonus features include commentaries by some film historians and deleted scenes.

Oh wow, Morgan Fairchild. I am more of a Donna Mills fan myself although I don't know why she went for that raccoon eye look in the 80s.
I remember getting early 80s VHS catalogues and they had THE SEDUCTION featured in the ads. Never heard of the other.

Picked up The Deadly Mantis and The Witches this weekend. Mantis was a bunch of fun. Standard '50s monster movie with a pretty cool looking creature (until it starts flying). I've yet to watch The Witches, but I look forward to checking another Hammer film off the list.
