Hi everyone, This is one I caught on cable about 10 years ago. I believe it's a Canadian movie. It's about a family that has a break in. The teenage daughter hears it and hides herself and her little sister under the beds. Her brother and mother are found and tortured by the invaders. The teenage girl does her best to save the family. The two scenes that I remember well are the girl using her brother's computer to post to some irc chatroom to ask someone to call the police. This scene stuck out because the brother's computer was a dialup modem and I was wondering what year it was supposed to be taking place in, as cable and DSL had taken over by then. Also, her hiding in the chimney. It wasn't a particularly good movie, but for some reason it popped into my head and I can't remember the name.

Don't Breathe (2016) is a pretty good home invasion type movie.

Thanks for the answer BlueJay but most of us are trying to boycott IMDb. Absolutely, wiki has pretty good descriptions of movies, kids in mind, is a good site if you want to know about violence, nudity etc. in a movie, I'm making a MAJOR effort not to click anything to do with imdb or amazon. SOOO pissed at them and the only way they can redeem themselves is to bring it back. I think maybe I'll go there once a month just to see if they bring them back BUT it's a far cry from the couple hundred daily clicks as before, and no amazon shopping or prime or rentals, no more of that shit. IF all the former imdb board users and readers do this, they will be missing out on millions of dollars and no company wants that, no matter how big they are.
