Yeah that was a bit much. I know the story but I don’t think others who don’t know it will be surprised after this trailer.

It also seems like they spoiled the whole thing.
I haven't read the book, so maybe it's more accurate to the original novel (although I'd doubt it since the script for the first film was adapted by King, himself), but it's odd that the daughter is the one who is killed in the film, and MUCH stranger that they would subvert the first film that way and NOT save that as a surprise. Why spoil that in the trailer? Such a strange choice. That would have actually surprised me had I not known that was the case going into the film. Now I feel like there will be no surprises at all.

I think there's a rule with Jason Clarke movies that the entire plot needs to be ruined in the trailer. Anyone remember Terminator Sega Gynysys? 🤔

I agree it was too much. The cat is one thing but showing us that its the daughter rather than the son thats brought back spoils what mightve been an interesting change.
Still looks good, i just don't know why they show so much in some movie trailers. You just need a taste to know whether you wanna see it or not, you dont need the entire plot summarized.

Another voice stating disappointment that they show the twist of the daughter being brought back. I'll still watch it.

They strayed pretty far from King's book, but it is at least not a paint-by-numbers remake of the original. It looks good, but yeah, they gave away a lot in that trailer.
It looks like the premise is that they try to live with Zombie Ellen? Pascow isn't nearly as creepy looking. I ADORE John Lithgow, but I already prefer Fred Gwynne's Judd.

So was Gage who died? You know, that freaky scary kid from the original?

Looks creepy enough. Maybe there's another twist at the end that wasn't in the 1989 version or the book. Some kind of set up for a potential sequel. I'm looking forward to it.

So was Gage who died? You know, that freaky scary kid from the original? Spoilers for Pet Sematary book and original film! Gage dies in the original one and the novel...it looks like they have Elle (the daughter) dying in this one.

Undead little girls are more scary than little boys.
Don't know why, they just are.

It seems to be a looser adaptation of the novel than the 1989 film was.

It does look like they spoiled the entire thing in one trailer. But then again, to me, this is a movie that shouldn't have been made in the first place. I really wish they'd stop remaking movies.
