I haven't read the book, so maybe it's more accurate to the original novel (although I'd doubt it since the script for the first film was adapted by King, himself), but it's odd that the daughter is the one who is killed in the film, and MUCH stranger that they would subvert the first film that way and NOT save that as a surprise. Why spoil that in the trailer? Such a strange choice. That would have actually surprised me had I not known that was the case going into the film. Now I feel like there will be no surprises at all.

That trailer gives WAY TOOOOO much away and it looks like they have subverted the original tale. Yes, if they don't want a carbon copy of something that may be familiar with many, why then give the plot twist away in the advertising. I am certain these people they hire to compile these trailers are morons of the first order.
