The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life
Well needless to say I'm going into tonight's season finale with low expectations. Will there be any sort of battle? Will the ep end with another cliffhanger? Will roles be reversed from a year ago-- Negan on his knees with Rick holding Lucille? Will there be enough story to deserve tonight's extended runtime?

What Character or Characters got killed in tonight's episode and how did they die ? Also, who was Negan's spy ?

What was that toy that said "didn't know" Daryl found at the end?

Yeah, I want to know about that toy soldier too. Is it something that we should remember someone having?

What was that toy that said "didn't know" Daryl found at the end? Was anyone shown leaving it? Otherwise my guess would be Dwight.

They really layed it on thick with the Sasha send off-- could've used a lot less of that. I'm not sure that the episode even met my lowered expectations. Once again no need for the story they told (at least the way they did it) to be stretched for an extended episode.
So why did the Scavengers double cross Rick? And their 'language' is more ludicrous the more often you here it. The Scavengers magically got away on foot? I guess Alexandria can start garbage collection now and don't have to travel on foot anymore-- a camper, 3 garbage trucks and close to a dozen bikes were left behind. The battle was poorly staged. Automatic gunfire in all sorts of directions yet none of the major players were killed. Did Hilltop and Kingdom arrive on foot? Were they attacking from inside or outside of Alexandria? Another fakeout death with Michonne-- can the writers just stop with that ploy.

Overall I liked the episode...thought it the best of the season..(ok..I agree overall it was not the best season)..But I still liked it despite its flaws.. The garbage people double cross I didn't see coming...It was a wtf moment.. I knew Sasha was going to eat it but liked that she went out determined not to betray her people and give what effort she could toward mocking and sticking it to their enemies. Rick was an idiot to trust those garbage people in the first place and Negan is an idiot to care more about being a showman and having fun than getting down to business. But these traits are true to form.
I wondered about the toy soldier and it seems that it was left by Dwight. Maybe the least likely is the one that really didn't turn traitor and was just playing along with Negan. I guess we'll see. The seeds for Eugene trying to redeem himself were left by Sasha but I personally don't see how the sniveling coward can manage to do that.

Once again..."Rick-Rolled". Rick once again proved his idiotic leadership by trusting, (and arming), the Garbage gang! The heavy soundtrack music distracted from the fight. The CGI tiger at least took out a couple of Saviors, (so smart that she knew which ones to attack)! Carol and Morgan back....YaY!! Michonne looked bad...I thought for a second her eye was gonna pop out like Glenn! At the most emotional point, I thought Rick was gonna kill Eugene, (wish he had)! Nice to see ole ginger Abe again, although it was pretty corny. RIP....Sasha! Came so close to nailing Negan, (wish she had bit his ascot and left at least a giant hickey on his neck)!!
Definitely best episode of the season....but is that saying much?

Yeah, I want to know about that toy soldier too. Is it something that we should remember someone having? I seem to recall it being something from Dwight and Daryl's first encounter. Regardless, since Daryl found it, and what it said, I assume it was from Dwight.

The prolonged goodbye for Sasha went on a little too long - we all knew she was going to die. It became silly and not sad. The poor writing was here in full force when the Scavengers managed to escape and Rick and the gang let them. The battle was poorly staged: I saw some of the characters literally turn around and find a bunch of the 'bad guys' behind them but the baddies don't get off a shot and get killed by the 'good guys'. It was ridiculous. The tiger was the best part of the battle even though we didn't really see much of it. I really don't think the writers remember what they've done from season to season; having another fake death was just stupid.

The battle was hilarious, people shooting in all sorts of directions with no main cast other than Rosita and Rick ( ) getting shot. Father G, Francine and a couple other Alexandrians were shooting at the truck as it was leaving and Negan (or was it Jadis?) gives them the finger. Nothing like plot armour to cover for poor writing.
