Avengers Endgame comes out in a little over 2 months.
Compared to this time last year, would you say you were more hyped for Endgame than you were for Infinity War or less hyped?
I'd have to say I was considerably less hyped this time around. Combination of three things in particular.
1. The trailer for Infinity War was much better than the one for Endgame which did nothing for me at all.
2. Nobody had any idea what was going to happen in Infinity War. In Endgame you already know everyone will get brought back and Thanos will be defeated by the end.
3. Seeing all these characters together in the same movie was new for Infinity War but now it isn't for Endgame.
I'm still looking forward to it....maybe more than any other movie this year...but yeah not as much this time around.

Hawkeye = Good Avengers movie
Lack of Hawkeye = Bad Avengers movie
That being said, I really hope they make this one a comedy.

More hyped for End Game, because I am a completist and want to know what happens. Comes prolly from waiting 15+ years to finish my favorite Book Series growing up. Not knowing and waiting 5+ years average between books gave me a need to complete things. Now After I watch it doesn't mean I will be as satisfied I was with IW. I like downer endings for movies sometimes. Like Empire.
Edit: the first 3 books were out of my favorite Series when I started I prolly should've said that. The math wouldn't make since without that.

Less hyped because I know Captain Marvel is going to play a huge part in defeating Thanos and I believe its undeserving of a new character.
Also the glamour of having the entire MCU together in 1 movie provided the main hype for the first one, which cant be replicated.

A little bit I suppose. I think a little bit of it is also due to the fact that some of the original cast's time is almost up with the MCU.

Little less compared to Infinity War but still hype for it.
Going to go in with reasonable expectations. Don't want another repeat of Batman v Superman and The Force Awakens.

More hyped. This one could shape up to be quite the head trip.

I'll be there opening night for sure. and i hope the final trailer also shows footage only from the first 20 minutes. I trust the Russos to make a grandiose finale

More hyped. This one could shape up to be quite the head trip. Nah, it couldn't. It's just going to be three incredibly overwrought hours of them beating Thanos, give or take killing off Stark and/or Cap. Yawn.

But what difference does it make to Disney? This thing is sure fire $$$

I'd say I'm less hyped for Endgame for now, but after they release a second official trailer and as we draw closer to the release date, I will gradually become more hyped.

More. I'm looking forward to a grand finale for Stark and Cap that finally fulfills their decade long character arcs.

I am, but I was also so cathartic after Infinity War I barely gave a shit about Ant-Man and the Wasp. Ridiculous though it might seem, I'm watching Endgame because it exists. If it didn't, I could actually leave it at that.
Even though it makes all the sense in the world to bring these characters roaring back, I'm really not looking forward to everybody being resurrected. Their deaths worked for me. I could leave it at Thanos won, but Endgame was made so I can handle one more round.
Infinity War had a great trailer too, the first one. Part of me feels like the climax to the story has happened. It hasn't, it just feels like it has.
I'm looking forward to the character interactions. Infinity War was great for it and I still didn't get anywhere near enough. I'm especially curious how Rocket and Nebula fit in.
My only real concern it Thanos blew his load when he did the snap; he's probably cathartic and tired as well. He already threw the kitchen sink at the universe, so I don't know if he's going to die but he definitely won't win. For him it's like resuming an uphill battle he thought was over so he took a break.
Maybe Captain Marvel will lift my spirits but I think the only surprise Endgame could really throw at me is if they fail and Thanos wins once again.

Thanos gave everything to finally complete his purpose in life and he achieved it. Does he have the same hunger and desire to go into another war just to maintain his position. Thanos is not insane and hell bent on anarchy for kicks like Joker, so he can be reasoned with. I wonder if the Avengers will try to battle him with wits rather than brawn initially.
