Same like Widows, there was something offputting a out this movie for me. I do like Liam Neeson a lot and trusted this remake would be good since it is directed by the same director who did the original. But it somehow failed to engage me. Plus the bad guy felt overwritten and overacted.
So since i walked out after about 70 minutes.
Anybody here saw it and can tell me the end? Thanks.

I will write up a synopsis of the ending when I get home and can do it from my computer. Typing long texts on a phone is a pain. What is the last thing you saw?

What is the last thing you saw? yeah remake but the same dirdctor directed both. i think the original (with stellan skarsgard was way better) The last thing I saw was the the black guy being asked to step off the rug. That was a pretty good scene I did like that. Thanks.

It's a remake? I never knew that. I will write up a synopsis of the ending when I get home and can do it from my computer. Typing long texts on a phone is a pain. That was a pretty good scene I did like that. Thanks. I will see if I can find the Norwegian original. I thought this one was entertaining enough. Not a brilliant dark comedy by any means, but I never once looked at the time, so there's that. Anyway, here's what happened: OK, so that was The Eskimo, whom Coxman (Liam Neeson), on the advice of his brother, hired to kill Viking. The Eskimo sells Coxman to Viking, who assumes that the Coxman who had put a contract on him was the wrong brother (since he didn't even know about the existence of Liam Neeson Coxman). He takes Wrong Coxman for a ride and asks why he wanted him dead. Not willing to correct Viking's misunderstanding of the situation, which would put a target on his brother's back, he makes up a story about wanting revenge for Viking's father having slept with the woman he loved, years before. So that was it for Wrong Coxman.
Now Viking knows that he started a war with the Indians for no reason, so as a way to make amends he kills one of his own guys and sends his head to the Indian boss with the message "this was the guy who killed your guy, apologies, let's forget the whole thing". The Indian boss will have none of it; a son for a son, he demands, as he kills the messenger.
Coxman finds out where Viking's son goes to school and, pretending to be an employee of his father, kidnaps him to use him as bait for Viking. Without even realising it, he saves the boy from two of the Indians who were about to take him. The kid sorts of bonds with Coxman and doesn't seem to mind too much having been kidnapped.
A janitor from the school who saw Viking's son getting into Coxman's van and recognises him sells that information to Viking (only to be killed by him). Viking gets all his guys and drives to Coxman's place. In the meantime, one of Viking's guys, who unbeknownst to everybody was the gay lover of the guy whom Viking sacrificed as a peace offer to the Indians, calls the Indians and tells them where Viking is going to be.
Viking's gang arrives at Coxman's garage. Coxman is waiting for them with a rifle, but before he can take the shot to kill Viking, one of his henchmen stops him. Viking is about to kill him when the Indians arrive. A bloodbath ensues and everybody dies, except for Coxman, Viking's son and the Indian boss.

Wikipedia is right about the very last shot. I didn't mention it because it was a bit random and didn't really relate to the story.

Why did you feel like you had to walk out, when there was only about 40mins to go Nora? i just couldnt follow the story anymore due to lack of any emotional response on my part. would have felt like homework. its not a bad movie, not at all, it just didnt work For Me.

I was not going to see Cold Pursuit, but I am considering it only because of the puerile controversy and mindless reaction against Neeson's comments about race. The man speaks honestly about an aspect of his distant past and in a way that can further our understanding of racial prejudice, and our moronic Twitter-oriented culture seeks to shun him.
How does Cold Pursuit compare to The Commuter from last year? I found that Neeson vehicle "decent"—engaging enough, if obviously contrived and certainly not memorable.

Looks like Taken 4.
Neelson must be doing it for the money.

Neeson is not the voice of reason. I feel some things are best left to ones own psyche. He was out of line and had his own personal agenda, which he did not get filter too well. He deserved the backlash he got. That said, I don't really like him, so my take is also biased and looking for an opening. I do not consider Neeson a racial sage. However, issues of racial prejudice are indeed psychological as much as they are moral, so an honest conversation and recognition of that dynamic can be worthwhile.
