What are some shows that are liked by a lot of people but you find not that good?
For me...
The Sopranos - I struggle with this one because I know it was a pioneer in the premium TV genre. It allowed for other great shows to be made and embraced. But as for the show itself I never found it to be that good. Very merandering and self indulgent.
The Office - I know some think it’s hysterical but I just see it as unfunny and honestly even depressing at times
Parks and Rec - Same as The Office
This is Us - Just kinda goes around in circles and acts like it has more to say than it actually does.

Game of Thrones and The Sopranos mentioned. Two of the top four TV series of all time. Yeah, really overrated *eyeroll. Also, The Office is one of the greatest comedy shows ever made. Just title the thread, "Great shows that I do not like for some reason."

Friends--very annoying
The Walking Dead--Does this one even count now? It seems like even the people who still watch it don't like it. I stopped after season 4. The novelty wore off pretty quickly.

Just title the thread, "Great shows that I do not like for some reason." I agree. There's no such thing as "overrated." That's just code for "I didn't like it as much as other people, and they're wrong for feeling that way." Unless there are some objective metrics, everything is rated just as it should be.

I gave up on Breaking Bad after the first five episodes. Overall I liked Breaking Bad. It kept my attention throughout its entire run. Bryan Cranston gave a great performance and there were some really good episodes. However, I would agree it tends to fall into the overrated category. Especially because it’s praised so highly by so many.

Just title the thread, "Great shows that I do not like for some reason." I actually love Game of Thrones. One of the best series around. For me, it’s one of those series that truly deserves all the praise it gets. As for my original question, it’s just overrated to you. It’s all opinion based.

I gave up on Breaking Bad after the first five episodes. May I suggest that you watch at least the sixth episode? I don't know about anyone else but I think the sixth episode is where I started to get hooked.

Riverdale - I'm aware that at 37 I'm probably not this show's target audience, but even if I were 20 years younger I think I'd struggle to find anything worthwile about it.
