I have honestly never experienced this trope describing french people as unhelpful or unwilling to speak english. i actually have the opposite experience each time. I speak french but sadly have a thik “american” (to french ears) accent to it since it was a third language i was picking up i mever really mastered its sound) and what frustrated me was how wuickly french people would switch to english with me when thet realized i wasnt a native or fluent speaker. i do realize being a woman might play a part in my overall experience in life, where I feel like most strangers are naturally nice / helpful to me and realize for men this experience might be different. i have always felt like being a woman has more advantages than disadvantages. Well you are a painfully annoying smug douchebag so you fit in perfectly with all the other pompous assholes despite your thik [sic] "american" accent you are so ashamed of having. Then again if anyone actually believes your countless stories, everywhere you go you are adored and strangers fall all over themselves to tell you how cool and interesting you are. You do resemble Hercules Poirot in drag but I think he's Belgian so you're probably just lying again. i am glad you are ok. i was beginning to worry.

I have lived in London in past for a considerable time and I think it is a great city. I have very little interest in visiting Paris. When I tour Europe next time I would probably visit Vienna, Budapest, and Warsaw. great selection of cities. out of the three Vienna is my favorite, it really takes you to a different time and is so pretty. Plus they have great Pandas in their zoo. But Budapest has some fo the most amazing thermal spas ive ever visited, so... there is that. so yeah, visit them all

Are you being serious or are you mocking a stereotypical hipster douchebag? serious, that is my experience. better food, better wine, better looking women in Paris vs London - on average. Wow... We are living in the Information Age. We have access to pretty much any information we want on the internet, including recipes for food. If you like French food so much, you can make it yourself... or you know... go to a French restaurant? So much easier than travelling to another country for the same thing. And better wine? Are you kidding me? It's fermented squashed grapes... It's the same shit wherever you go. It sucks everywhere. Unless you think there is something magical in the air there that makes theirs better? And better looking women? Racist much?

Well, it is said that hate is an extreme form of love. Just that Poelzig doesn't know how to express it. If you remember school days little boys would pull a girl's hair and run away. Poelzig is quite similar to those kids. He just badmouths you to get your attention and then runs away. I am glad you are always calm in your replies. .

And better looking women? Racist much? the OPs question was not "would you be able to replicate your favorite things about a certain place yourself, without visiting it' but "out of these places which one would you rather visit". sure they are french restaurants in london, and of course you can find good french wine in london or elsewhere. my point was that these things that i happen to believe a lot people appreciate (i myself dont drink wine and french is not my favorite cuisine so i couldnt care less, i love paris for the language and art) are more commonly found in France rather than London. On average, the house wine in Paris tends to be a better quality than the house wine in london. Same with an average sandwich or lunch meal in the two cities. re racism, paris is so diverse that you cant really call out the racist card here. i did find that again, on average, in paris the average woman looks better, and their tens are more prevalent on the streets. it may have something to the with the fashion industry having such power and history in paris, it may be result of the diversity of the population, who knows. but thats my experience and the experience of many those around me. that if you compare the average British girl with the average french girl, most people would rate the french one higher. now london surely has its highlights too. if the OP said they wanted to see some of the best theatre i would sure send them to London over Paris. If they wanted to see some of the best ballet I would send them to Vienna or Moscow. Each place has something. now what I really hope the OP will visit BOTH places.
