Has this one been done? Anyway, love both of these movies but I like the first better. It’s a better-made film overall and it is genuinely scary. The opening sequence in Weeks is amazing though, better than any scene in Days.
What say you guys?

I enjoyed 28 Weeks Later more than the first but it's been a while since i've seen either of them so can't remember why

Jims rage at the end of 28 Days is one of my favorite sequences in any film.

No contest. Days is near perfection, while Weeks is a solid sequel but a noticeable step down in quality.

Tied. I gave both 6/10.

28 Days Later is a really good movie let down by a disappointing third act. It still gets my vote.

Days for days. Weeks had that great opening but quickly got weak.

Days for days. Weeks had that great opening but quickly got weak. Even after the opening, I still really enjoyed Weeks. It’s about close as good as Days.

I don't think I can choose between the 2. I think days is a better made film but I enjoy both equally.
I know most of the locations in both films, and I'd love to sit down with a map of London and draw out the route they take at the end of Weeks...it's all over the place

28 Days Later is a great film. It's a genuinely novel approach to an old sort of genre and subgenre that really cleverly withholds information and scope to make this huge scenario intimate and mysterious while being convincing on both fronts. And that fairly early use of digital cinematography was cool and embraced that look as an asset for the time and style of the movie rather than trying to make it look more high-end professional. That movie is pretty much successful in all aspects.
28 Weeks Later is a solid sequel, but it's sort of its own thing. It's tonally somewhat different and expands on the exposition, which makes it somewhat less interesting because it's more ordinary. I'm not sure that there was any other way to approach it, and it's about as good as a sequel could have been expected to be.
It's a solid follow up, and a pretty good film in its own right. But it's not on the level as the first film.

I liked both but I personally think the first movie is the best.

I find both enjoyable watches - own em - love em - give em a watch once a year or so.
'Weeks' - the beginning is superb - in a sense your jaw drops a bit.
Put yourself in his shoes - do you try to save your wife?
Or flee like a coward even though you know trying to save her may mean your own death.
