I don't like Leto in anything.
Looking at the choices makes me realize that for me there hasn't been a perfect Joker yet. Someone who plays it between Jack and Heath would be perfect I think. Heath was too serious and crazy and Jack probably had to play it like a cartoon character but still managed to fit a little darkness in there.

Jack Nicholson, though he was playing "Jack Nicholson playing Joker" instead of just playing the character directly.
I agree with everything Morlock said above. Ledger was too serious, nothing like the comic book character. He was a great villain but not a great Joker.

From the votes we can tell who's not the greatest Joker,and that is Leto To me with the introduction of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, there wasn't just the Joker. It became the Joker + Harley Quinn. That made him a very different character in SS. Leto doesn't even fit on this list until there is a solo Batman film with him as the main villain. Imo at least, BB ;-) |
