From Soap Opera Digest:
Sheri Anderson has revealed on Twitter that she is no longer working as DAYS’s creative consultant. “For those who are asking, I am no longer on the show, but had another great run there. My final script will air on Friday, March 15. Please tune in!” she posted. Anderson was the soap’s head writer from 1982-86 (and again from 1992-93), and is credited with building some of the show’s most popular super couples.
I’m sorry to hear about this. I think Sheri has such a rich history in the show and understands the legacy characters better than anyone else. Even though the show isn’t the greatest right now, it’s been much better than the Higley years. I hope it stays decent with her departure.

That's too bad. You're right the show isn't the best now but I am certain the history and bringing in older characters and references to past stories is all Sheri.
She will be missed - again!

It's a shame, but I also sort of get it. She was apparently brought in as a creative consultant to help Ron Carlivati get up to speed on the show and the characters and the history. But, once she's done that, it could sort of be an albatross around the neck of a head writer to have a legendary head writer from the '80s and '90s hanging around. Ultimately, I do think it behooves the genre to have newer, younger voices writing and not the same people who were writing it before I was born.
