According to deadline Emily Blunt is in it and the are negotiating with the two kids. Linked story says John Krasinki will direct again and the release date is set for May 2020. Not sure if I'm in favor of continuation of first movie or want something else. The fact that the kids contracts are not yet locked in makes me wonder if they are being flexible with continuation angle and it may only be a small part in sequel. Thoughts? Quiet Place 2 on deadline

Egh, I mean Iβd be fine with no sequel at all since the movie works perfectly as a standalone, but hey - thereβs always a good surprise with every movie.

I'd prefer something else in the same world, but not sure how far they can go with this premise.

Sounds like a mistake, but maybe that family just gets killed off in first act , to focus on another

This is a good standalone movie that doesn't need 50,000 sequels.

Wouldn't surprise me. First one is essentially a vanity project for Jim and his IRL wife.

It stands on its own quite well as is. A sequel with different characters would be better maybe, and easier.
