These are the same guys that Kay Kay fired after filming 85% of Solo: A Star Wars Story. They turned around and made an animated film that got audience and critical acclaim. And one the most successful non-Disney animated movies of all time; particularly for the genre . Now they've won Oscars. More proof that any Disney SW success is in spite of TPTB rather than because of them.

They also directed the worst scene in Solo, i.e. the "Han speaks wookie" scene.

They also directed the worst scene in Solo, i.e. the "Han speaks wookie" scene. Was it the worst scene? I think we all suspected that Han had to establish that he understood Wookiee to earn Chewbacca's respect in the origins of their friendship. Nevertheless, Lord & Miller earned Oscars from a film that got more critical acclaim, more genre respect and approval, and almost the same box office success that they were fired from. And supposedly they were the scapegoat of production failures on Solo: A Star Wars Story. Well, Disney and Kathleen Kennedy look pretty stupid trying to sell us that lie now. Lord & Miller's animated masterpiece finished only $23 million domestically ($17 million worldwide) behind Solo: A Star Wars Story.

And she has a career in which her movies have collectively grossed $12 billion, with eight Best Picture Oscar nominations.
