Note: Mods are welcome to move this to the X-Men boards, but I'll only put it here because the Marvel board gets more traction and attention. Anyways, definitely a better trailer than the first one. I'm more interested, though for all the crap the MCU gets for being formulaic, the X-Men series are beginning to form their own formulaic plot points as well. Then again, I think its a foil and trope all superhero films kinda fall into anyways. James McAvoy is definitely channeling his inner Patrick Stewart with the voice. Magneto still hasn't age which is still a problem for me honestly. It's just jarring when you realize he should be looking like Ian McKellen by 1999/2000. Story-wise, its still really hard to understand what its about besides the Phoenix powers activating inside of Jean, which we got with Last Stand. I'm not hooked really, just intrigued I guess. I will say this, of all the "younger versions" of the original characters, it's almost scary how strikingly similar Alexandra Shipp's Storm is to Halle Berry, especially with the shorter hair.

An exciting enough trailer, hopefully an adequate send off for this batch of X-Men movies before the MCU inevitably reboots it.

sophie turner facial expressions outdoing brie larson? the worst of xmen is still better than the worst of mcu.
still dont think this movie should have been made. the director is inexperienced, the cast is too young to take on such an iconic story.
although as medicore this movie could be MCU xmen will still be worse.

Agreed it's a better trailer. Dumb choice to re-do dark phoenix again though...
Half of the X-men films are good to me. I just wish JLawrence didnt take over the new trilogy. Why we have Mystique as a central character of the X-men...??
It's like Harley with the Birds of Prey film, I hope shes not part of the team

Oh wait, MCU fans dont even read comics.
we are waiting for the mcu disney reboot. anything worse than new star wars will take the heat of star wars

Definitely a better trailer though that wasn't hard I suppose.
Might be interesting, looks a little darker this time. I'm not overly excited for it because they're just redoing the same old thing. I'm fine with this being the last one of these they make.
Looks better than Captain Marvel I'd say just based on trailers alone.

Dude, what the heck? I never spoke on if the MCU would adapt those storylines successfully or was saying it will be the best thing since sliced bread once the X-Men are rebooted into it I was just saying that I hope that Dark Phoenix turns out good and serves as an adequate send off with these versions of the characters considering this is really the end - all other movies that were in development are being dropped except for a Deadpool follow-up of some kind. One more thing - I'M an MCU fan and I READ comics so there goes your generalization.

Yeah...No way on Earth is X-Men Origins: Wolverine better than even the worst MCU movie. Howard the Duck is even better as a comic book movie than that one and that's saying something...

I disagree, this looks like a lazy remake of X3 beat for beat and scene for scene. Captain Marvel looks a lot more original and interesting.

A director is not the cinematographer, they're two totally different roles in production. Mauro Fiore is the cinematographer on Dark Phoenix so he should receive credit over Kinberg.

It's an X-Men movie. What did you expect? And Sansa Stark is looking like a braindead zombie in this just like Famke did in X3.

Should be in the xmen board.
Looks amazing! Visually is impressive and loved some of the shots especially the close up of Beast at the funeral and Magnetos indifferent reaction to firing those guns at Jessica Chastain. And the tone is pitch perfect; dark, sinister, serious with a sense of impending doom. Exactly how a dark phoenix adaptation should be.
I think they are holding back on showing the big action set pieces of the third act since it was reshot recently and visuals may not be fully rendered yet. But a big compliment would be it doesnt feel or look like X3, as the first trailer did.

It doesnt look like an X3 remake, you're just being an idiot. Captain marvel looks more original? Lmao. The little train tv spot they released looks lame as hell man, a weak rip off from a lot of other better superhero traim fights. The train fight in Dark Phoenix looks a lot more compelling and intimidating.

oh ho what is going on. when dark Phoenix looks better than captain marvel, we are not even bringing out the big guns like DOFP, Logan and these mcu fanatics are still scared?
disney mcu would still be worse in the end.

And for the love of God why were the guns on that transport train made of metal when in both DOFP and Ivan Ooze they have plastic guns (since 1973)or they used weapons that weren't made from metal (like the arrow they used to kill Magneto's daughter) And there is no stake or scope in the movie at least from the trailer, like DOFP in the final 1973 battle with Magneto at the White House, where the hell is the US military or the Air Force when Sansa in destroying stuff in the air and hovering about??? In X2 after Pryo flame attacked the Police at Bobby's house and escaped on the Blackbird they were soon attacked by Jet Fighters.
