It's rubbish. Anyone I've ever known named Jessy hates that song.

There is bound to be a few who like the song but I personally don't like it.

Anyone I've ever known named Jessy hates that song. Not a particularly large sample you'd be drawing from then.

Always thought it was a creepy song, but people must dig that sort of thing...It sold and charted well...

It's rubbish. Anyone I've ever known named Jessy hates that song. Heard it for years without it registering in my head. Then, the last time, I listened - to the lyrics. Pathetic.

Not a good song, but it's one of those songs you remember for marking a certain time in your life at the time it was popular. I remember it for marking the time when '80s music really started to suck. Reminds me of those sucky, cheesey 80's songs that Christian Bale would play in "American Psycho" before he would murder someone!

I prefer Jenny and her famous number 867-5309 - Jenny in the Tommy Tutone vid is actually Karen (Morton) Playboy Playmate / centerfold from July 1978 Rick Springfield's girl was the one who really turned heads - he was romantically involved with Linda Blair before Jessie came along. And Jessie in the vid for that tune, is openly gay actor, Steve Antin (from The Goonies, The Last American Virgin and The Accused) So Rick didn't have to look too hard to find a woman like that!

Meh...it's alright. I liked it when I was a kid back in the early 80s . It's a catchy song and Working Class Dog was a popular album. But it's been years since I've heard anything by Rick Springfield and I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to his stuff now.

It was used to similar effect in Boogie Nights, innocuous Pop to counterpoint violence.

I loved it back in the day but in my defense I was a mere lad and I actually had a friend named Jesse whose girlfriend I coveted.

The first few times it was good. I think I still have the vinyl of "Working Class Dog" (it was my mom's).
Now that the radio station at work plays "80s, 90s and....whatever", there is no doubt that the song WILL play at some point during the work day.

I don't mind it. The verse is a lot catchier than the chorus.

It's a catchy tune. In fact it's an earworm for me right now.
