I think Bran and the Night King are somehow inexorably linked, and perhaps in some ways Bran may have inadvertently retroactively have created them, perhaps to thwart an impending victory by the Lannisters. And to take it a step further, when the Mad King is yelling "Burn Them All," it's Bran trying to warg into someone in the past to try to burn his newly created abominations but in his haste he fucks it up and enters the Mad King (perhaps in his dying moments he loses the full grasp of his power), thus initiating the driving force behind the entire storyline. Basically, it's Finnegan's Wake. I need a hobby. This has actually been a popular theory for a lot of years. I think that Bran might actually BE the Night King. I've never been a fan of this theory because the time loop thing is kind of a cliché at this point, but most of the other major theories seem to be coming true now. At this point I almost feel like the end of the story can only be a let down in one way or another.

I just started season 2 of my rewatch. I had forgotten a lot of what had happened on season 1.

I see a flaming sword. Beric Dondarrion lives!
I hope the Hound lives too. Sandor Clegane, one of my favorite characters ever.
I'll change my name to TheGoodNerd19 soon.

The Battle of Winterfell will be Legendary!. Better than the first, the Battle of the Bastards? One thing this show does well is battles. Blackwater Bay, the Wall, Hardhome ( heh heh, I said "hard", heh heh)
I think the Army of the Dead will bypass Winterfell and head straight for King's Landing. Danerys had a vision of the throne room with snow falling through the roof.

Super geeked.
Random predictions for the end...(spoiler warning)
Since it’s basically gonna come down to living vs undead I kinda care who wins...as much as a Night King victory would be very anti-traditional, and that’s GRRMs claim to fame, I think SOME of our heroes have to make it out of this on top. So...destruction (or peace) with the white walkers is pretty much a given for me.
As far as the throne...I think it gets destroyed. I think the kingdoms go back to several separate states with some kind of equal democracy between their Lords.
I think Jon dies. His resurrection wasn’t meant to last forever. Hell most likely die in battle with the NK or shortly after some essential victory. Dany and Cersei I think both die in child birth. Arya...I’m unsure. I could see her dying or wandering off at the end. I don’t think she goes happily back to Winterfell. Sansa stays as the Lady of Winterfell and is one of the main political figures at stories end. Tyrion and Jaime could go either way. Brienne lives and becomes a Hedge Knight...hopefully with Pod. I think most of the Dothraki and Unsullied get destroyed. I think it’d be a nice touch if Davos becomes the adopted father of Jon and Danys love child and plans to raise him on the seas. Hope Ghost lives.

I read somewhere that the Battle of Winterfell will be a full 90 min episode (making it the longest in TV/Movie history)

My first thought: Only Jon Snow is that stupid to meet the White Walkers in an open field battle. Maybe he has prepared the ground (fields of fire), but we are talking about Jon Snow here. I guess Jaime has to save the day with proper tactics after Davos saved what was to save.

The idiot Snow devised one of the most stupid plans ever (capture a wight) and essentially gifted a dragon to the Night King to break the wall. Him idiotically taking Ramsay's bait a season ago was just as embarassing. I want this moron to die or lose but most probably that won't happen. Oh, and your favourite character Sansa has not changed one bit. The recent reveal of season 7 scripts proves that she was fecking jelous of Arya's closeness with Brienne. How small minded of her. She is the very same person who betrayed her father by revealing his plans. Although the show producers have done their best to make her appear as one of the more sensible characters in the recent 2 seasons.

Haven't read the scripts but from this trailer it looks like Cersei has gone full cartoon character villain, the way she is in the books. No personality, no point to the character; just smirking and grasping for power as the world in the show crumbles around her. Tedious character, too bad I'm certain she'll be around to the bitter end.

She is more manipulative and intelligent and has been so far almost invincible. It's as if they have plans for her to be the ultimate villain in the final showdown. At the same time the producers made mockery of an actually intelligent character in Little Finger and retired him cheaply. Also, Tyrion's character has regressed considerably since season 5 when he departed for Essos. In the first 4 seasons he was essentially running his own storyline. Now he is another piece in the story of Dany & Jon. I hope they improve his story.

She seems to get dumber as the books go along, whereas in the show they actually gave her a personality. In this trailer though, they only show her smirking like a fool and drinking, which is all she ever seems to do on the show now. I can't stand the generic power-hungry villain with no personality, but the popularity of the character will keep her around to the final episode, I'm sure of it.

Yeah....in the beginning of the show she was not portrayed as intelligent as she started to be portrayed in later seasons. Ex-Lord Tywin called her and the other council members total idiots for putting a butcher in charge of the King's landing and dismissing an honourable person such as Ser Selmy in a deplorable way. He definitely believes Cersei didn't know XYZ of diplomacy. As much as Tywin hated Tyrion, he went so far as to make Tyrion second in command because he thought Cersei was totally incompetent. But Cersei became a pretty intelligent character in season 5 & 6 although again regressed in season 7. Now we have to live with the fact that she is the main villain.

I think even more interesting will be the GOT prequel coming out next year, that takes place 5000 years before this show.
How in the f'ing wide world of sports do you do a show 5000 years before this one? What kid of weapons would they have? 500 years would have been okay, but 5 centuries?

Has flop written all over it.

Starting Jamie Farr as Lord Klinger, master of Winterfell.
