I think even more interesting will be the GOT prequel coming out next year, that takes place 5000 years before this show. How in the f'ing wide world of sports do you do a show 5000 years before this one? What kid of weapons would they have? 500 years would have been okay, but 5 centuries? 500 years = five centuries. They have, for some reasons, next to none technological evolution.

Still a little over a month to go, but figured I'd start a thread. Anywho, just finished a rewatch of the first 7 seasons. Hadn't watched the first 2-3 since they aired; forgot damn near everything about them. It was almost like I was watching the show for the first time again. Don't really care who "wins" at the end, Daenerys, the White Walkers, etc. as long as it doesn't end in a cliffhanger. Too many damn shows end like this because they "want to keep the audience talking." Lazy writing, imo. I hate that it's only gonna be 6 episodes. You guys don't care who wins, but any predictions on big plot points? Betrayals? Deaths? Will Tormund get with his beloved? I'm expecting pretty much everyone to die, Sansa betrays Jon and maybe Arya, and then maybe Arya kills her. Dany's 2 remaining dragons bite the dust. Cersei will die either in childbirth or by Jamie's hand. The Clegane Bowl will end with both of them dying. Theon will kill his uncle.

A couple of interesting theories that could be proved true; first that Tyrion is not Tywin's son, but rather the offspring of the Mad King and Tywin's wife, a product of rape. However, I prefer the idea that it's Jaime and Cersei who are truly the Mad King's children, meaning Tyrion is in fact Tywin's only true heir.

Jamie and Tyrion will live too and help the new King. But Samwell Tarly is the new Hand of the King
I don't see "Bad Sansa", I think she might be temped to betray but I think she marries Jon in the end, uniting Stark and Targaryan. Danerys, dead, with another dragon, trying to wipe out the Army of the Dead Jon and the Night King have an epic battle, with Jon winning The Night King's Ice Dragon wastes King's Landing Clegane Bowl happens with Sandor winning and but both dying Melisandre is proven to be in cahoots with the Dead and is killed by Arya Theon vanquished to other Greyjoys and is killed saving Sansa Jamie kills Cercei Bran wargs into a dragon, the one dragon that lives. Jon's dragon, conveniently pregnant. I don't know how Gendry fits in. Seems weird to keep the last Baratheon around if just for an incidental plot point here and there
Everyone can have a big laugh at me when this is over and none of this happens.

Sansa will sit the Iron throne - not by betrayal, but because she is in the end the smartest one, and thus the sole surviver - of the main chars who can sit the throne. Maybe she will even abolish to some degree the feudal system (=> breaking the wheel). I think she will be known as Sansa the builder, or rebuilder. Samwell will be some sort of arch maester of the citadel and a crucial adviser. He will also write the book of the song of ice and fire. I see Ser Davos as Sansa's hand (=> hence the restructure of the political system - no complete overthrow, but significant adjustment in favour of the lower classes. She won't do a U-turn, too much in too less time) Maybe she and Samwell will overthrow the educational system and thus bringing an end to the stagnation of advancement. I hope at least one dragon survive and leaves for the ruin of Valyria. Melisandre will die, but voluntarily for a greater cause, and to atone for her murder of Shireen Jon will die due to his stupidy (Davos and can't save him every time), and so will the blonde bimbo. Maybe Jaime will be the sole sword wielding surviver of the main chars. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Bolder" guesses: Tyrion will die after pissing off a Dothraki bloodrider with a bad joke after drinking too much wine. The Kninght's King will be defeated after he as killed off enough main chars and caused enough damage to reach the viewers level of ruinenlust: eebelz.com/2015/09/04/ruinenlust-taking-pleasure-in-ruins/

Sansa is not one of the 5 main characters of the book. Sansa will not sit on any throne except the stony halls of dreadful Winterfell. Sansa will not be known as any builder or rebuilder.

It does sound like the end will be better than Lost. We are up to Season 4 of our rewatch. I can’t wait for the beginning of the end.

I wonder how Rage Induced the Fans would be if Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) ends up winning at the end.

Yeah they do for season five, but they come back around to interesting by season seven. Not one character is consistently great throughout. After tons of watches, I think Arya is the most consistently interesting character. Tyrion is probably the best character over the first four seasons, but then does nothing again. Jamie is always great, but he is much better in the books and runs out of things to do by season six. Dany had a great buildup through the first three seasons, but then declines as well and forgets how to act in scenes. I never liked Sansa, but she does have a lot of growth throughout and has grown on me over the years. Bran sucks for like 80% of his screen time. Jon's story is consistent and always interesting, but Arya is the more dynamic character. After all of these watches, I have just come to realize that she is the best overall character throughout. Her dynamic with the Hound is the best part of the show maybe. It really comes to head in Season Four, Episode One at the end in one of their better scenes together.

Little Finger will sit on the Iron Throne at the end In wight form? Because he's already dead. he paid the faceless men to put someone in place. When Bran repeated his words back to him, he knew he was a goner. Little finger’s family is from Braavos. When Arya is stalking him, you can see him give the blonde girl a coin just like the Braavos coin the faceless men use. This isn’t an original theory but I’ve read enough the at least convince me that it is plausible and the fact that he is still the 8th best odds to sit on the iron throne tied with Arya gives some credibility to that.

A Faceless Man just sacrifices himself for Littlefinger? I've heard some bad theories over the years, but that one might take the cake.
