Yes, and I've told these stories before. In brief they both involved rainy days and electricity.

Not really. I was ran over by a car when I was six or seven years old - I ran across the street without looking, and ended up with a broken leg. Other than that, I was in a car crash when I was probably around 10 years old. We (my entire family) were going to my uncle's wedding in my father's home town, and we got into an accident. Fortunately no one was seriously injured. I think my brother had to get some stitches but that was all.

I suppose you could say every time you get in a car that potential is there. But if you don't want to count that, there's the fact that I was a Soldier for 26 years and deployed 7 times. So there were some situations.

Yes. Was essentially lured into a trap and had a knife pulled on me by a screaming lunatic. Somehow I talked my way out and ended up walking away. Was going to call the police (I regret not doing so to this very day) until lunatic's "significant other" begged and pleaded with me not to in probably one of the most pathetic displays I've ever seen another person do. The most shocking thing about the whole incident was had the lunatic in question not flipped out at that particular moment, I would've been well and truly trapped without realizing it, and possibly murdered in my sleep (I was invited to stay there for the night). Yikes! That has to still mess with your head a bit, I would imagine. I like the crime procedural show "Criminal Minds", and in one episode, one of the agents said, "Well, THAT definitely goes on my list of things not to do" (stay in a roadside motel). I'm sure we have all been just that close before, but didn't know it. Do you know what happened to said lunatic and the significant other? It did. I wasn't myself for a few months afterwards, and even now I have some trust issues around anyone I don't know. But I am getting better. If anything, it made me stronger. And what happened to them was sorta hilarious: "Significant other" got busted for stealing things from work within a couple weeks after the incident and left town, while the lunatic left town a few months later when the POS got its driver's licence back when the suspended sentence expired (If I had known about the suspended sentence, I would've gleefully told the police. If you commit a crime whilst serving a suspended sentence, you go straight to jail and serve the rest of your sentence there.) The chances of me seeing either of them again is low, but I keep an eye out just in case.

Keep an eye pealed; one never knows when a bad seed might return.

I'm almost exactly one year removed from a serious health scare that could have killed me.

Does crossing a busy road count?
